Historical room only discount rates

O.k. friends, I'm looking at rooms around Thanksgiving week and my question is this - In the past, what were the blackout dates for room only discounts around Thanksgiving? I'm looking into AP discounts as well as general public discounts but I'm specifically looking for the black out dates. THANKS!

Thanksgiving isn't typically a total black out.

Thanks but that site does not state blackouts unless I'm totally missing something there.

You're right. Mousesavers is comprehensive, but it only lists the first and last dates of a special and doesn't list the black out dates.

FWIW the only thing I wrote down for 2013 is Room Discount 9/29-11/22 with additional dates through 11/25 for Deluxes and Villas. More Room Discounts 11/30-12/23. I didn't write down any more info about which resorts or room categories were excluded.

Maybe a google search would give more details.

According to this thread from last year, Thanksgiving week was blacked out for AP room discounts. *Free* dining was also blacked out for that week.

One thing that I have found is that you can book Thanksgiving week for less is you go through a foreign website like expedia.uk. Thanksgiving isn't a holiday in the UK. You have to pay the entire amount up front and there will be foreign transaction fees if your credit card doesn't waive them. I compared the week at OKW on both the Disney website and Expedia.uk and the Expedia price was about $375 USD less (based on this morning's exchange rate). It was a savings of about 15%.
