I know this info is on this site somewhere, but I can never seem to find it. Could someone please provide me the link. And if you can, tell me how to find it on this site so I can know where to look in the future.

Thanks so much!!

I haven't seen a single list where the refurbs were listed by attraction. While some rides go down on a fairly regular schedule, there has been a lot of fluctuation this year (2014) due (probably) to the upcoming 60th anniversary.

HydroGuy has a thread that links you to the wdwinfo calendar's for Disneyland which does include which rides were closed. You have to look by month and year and then by individual date.

Is there a ride in particular you are interested in?

Yes, Haunted Mansion. We are looking at a early/mid January trip, staying for 8 -9 nts, and really want to get there the last day HMH is open so my daughter can see it. I have, and it's so awesome, I really want her to see it. I know about when it closes, but I don't want to schedule our trip for the day after. I was just trying to see if there was a pattern in past years, like the 2nd Sunday in Jan, or whatever. I want to book our hotel and flights soon, so just trying to see if the historical data could help.

It does vary slightly from year-to-year, but for a conservative estimate I would go with the first Monday after New Year. I am not sure what happens if New Years is on the weekend. This upcoming year, the last day going to be a Tuesday (1/6), which surprised a lot of us (we were guessing Monday, 1/5).

Thanks for the link for historical info. Still can find how to navigate to that info without a link, but that's ok. I will keep this link.

But my big question for you, is where do you see that the last day is going to be Jan 6 for 2015? If that is a certainty, that would make my planning easy.

Here's the final date for the last few years:
Jan 6th 2014
Jan 6th 2013
Jan 8th 2012
Jan 2nd 2011
Jan 3rd 2010

They haven't announced this year yet, so you might want to wait a few more weeks. But I think your best bet might be to arrive by the 4th.

The link Figment_jii provided from Hydroguy shows 1 day later than each of the days you quote. But Figment_jii seems to know of a date announced for 2015 that they said surprised everyone, so it sounds like people know of this date. I was wondering where they found this out.

The Disney Parks Blog had a posting that debuted a drawing of this year's HMH Gingerbread House. At the end of the post it said: "Haunted Mansion Holiday goes through January 6, 2015."

So far I haven't seen anywhere else that has posted a firm end date for HMH, so it hasn't been confirmed by multiple Disney postings/announcements, nor has it been contradicted either.

Thanks so much for this link. It looks pretty official to me since it was announced by Disney. This makes me happy, I think we will plan to arrive by the 5th or 6th to see it. Yea! I really didn't want to go earlier than that to deal with the lingering holiday crowds. :lovestruc

It's not the lingering holiday crowds that will be an issue, it's the local APs that will become unblocked on the 4th and 5th who will flood the park for one last look at the holiday stuff after being blocked for 2 weeks. But they should die down once the decor comes down.

The dates I quoted are from the parks blog and they match the dates on WDWinfo. If you were to show up a day later, that would be the first day of the rehab in those years.

Sorry, you're right. I wrote down the first day of the rehab, not the last day of it being open. My mind is getting confused this late! :surfweb:

Such a hard decision with the locals being unblocked. I hadn't even thought of that. Thanks for pointing that out!!! I guess whenever we go, if we miss it or not, we will have a magical time. I always do. That overlay is just so cool!

I would not wait until the 6th to arrive. While one would think that "official" Disney media sources (like the Parks Blog) should be right, there is always the chance they could be wrong. An example is the AP Newsletter that Disneyland mails to the AP holders (so an "official" print media). Last year (2013), it listed the start date for the Halloween Party incorrectly. So, while I do think the 6th is a likely last day for HMH, it would not surprise me if it really turned out to be the 5th (Monday). I'm pretty certain it'll be running through the weekend, but Monday or Tuesday seem like likely last days.
