Historical October discounts

Hi all, We are booked at the grand Californian Oct 15 to 20 with the hopes of a discount being released later in the summer. We are locked into those dates as they fall over my daughter's fall break. Looking back over the last 4 years it looks like summer discounts have ended late Sept and fall haven't started until later in Oct. Any idea why no discounts the first 3 weeks of Oct? I'll keep the reservation either way but a discount would be nice! Thanks!

October is a pretty busy time of year in the parks. Mickey's Halloween Party is popular and lots of kids have breaks from school.

Not to mention with the opening of Galaxies Edge this year I don't think there will be a shortage of people so offering a discount probably doesn't make a lot of sense this year. But who knows. Maybe something will pop later.

Sounds like no MHP this year. The party is at DCA to take some load of DL.

Yeah, I know. It's just going to be a while before I remember to start using the new name. My point still stands though. Halloween is a popular time to be in the parks. I wouldn't expect a discount in those early to mid October dates.
