Hiro and Baymax in early May?

We saw them this morning. Got in line at 10am for the 10:30 open. And made it up to the meeting spot at 11:05 as there was a Make-Wish family and then about 10 other families ahead of us. All in all, it was worth the 65 minutes wait.

Okay, I'm majorly confused right now because I sent an email to Disney this morning and they told me, "Hiro and Baymax are no longer visiting us at Walt Disney World."

Then what's with all the spottings? Are they keeping this a secret for some strange reason? :[

I think it's that they're unofficial...Disney doesn't want to be held accountable if they're not there when stated.

Oh, I see. Silly question, I know, but I wonder how slim the chances are of them still being there in late May (21-27)? My cousins LOVE Hiro and Baymax, and so do I...

I gotta say they were not in an easy-to-spot place. They're hidden way inside the Magic of Disney Animation.

Oh, I don't think that would be a problem for us. ;] As long as they're there, we're ready to hunt them down as hard as it takes...
That said, with the Inside Out movie coming out in June, we should probably prepare ourselves for disappointment in case they aren't there late May. Although, since BH6 was a huge success, maybe Hiro and Baymax might be granted a longer stay before the summer...? Fingers super-crossed!!

The Cast Members that interact with Guests through e-mails/phones get their information from an internal network. There are advertised meet & greets (such as Mickey) and unadvertised meet & greets (such as BH6). The unadvertised M&Gs do not appear in this network, nor on the Disney website or app. The Cast Member that responded was simply working from the information he or she has access to and likely has no idea the characters are still appearing daily.

Oh, I don't think that would be a problem for us. ;] As long as they're there, we're ready to hunt them down as hard as it takes...

There are no current plans for Inside Out to take up residence at Studios, Hiro & Baymax have been extended indefinitely.

I don't think they would replace Hiro & Baymax until at least after Inside Out is released. Noone knows the characters from that movie yet. But I remember we met Lotso at DHS the month before TS3 came out. But that was different I think.

@Berlioz70 So sorry to bump an oldish thread, but you seem to be rather knowledgeable so I'll have to ask you again: is there any word at all on how long "indefinitely" is? We might have to postpone our trip to June, but Hiro and Baymax are the absolute highlight of the trip (one of my nephews is going JUST TO MEET HIRO, so he said) and if they aren't there, they'll be beyond devastated Is there any way I could get some sort of clear answer from Disney?

I can't see the Inside Out characters being that appealing to a Meet & Greets compared to Big Hero 6 ...

I'd agree with you, but Disney doesn't seem to be treating BH6 very kindly these days...:/ I'm so nervous that they'll boot out Hiro and Baymax at the slightest excuse, Oscars and all be darned! It'd certainly be in line with their strange tendency to not restock their BH6 tsums....

Ya .. it's weird.

I went to a Disney Store over the weekend and didn't see any Big Hero 6 merchandise AT ALL (maybe it was there .. but not prominently displayed like the other stuff) ... I saw .. Inside Out, Star Wars, Marvel Super Heroes, Toy Story, Princesses galore, Jake from Neverland, Miles from Tomorrowland (a show that is only a few months old), Winnie the Pooh, but didn't see BH6. WTH?

Wasn't that movie like the perfect boys movie for Disney? (My son likes it without even having seen the movie)

Plus the Baymax character is like the perfect M&G character .. big .. huggable . .funny ..

I've never wished for anything more from Disney than for this M&G to still be happening in August. You can see by my avi a 3yo whose biggest obsession in life was Buzz Lightyear. Until a big cuddly Baymax came on the screen. He is so into BH6 right now and it is great that Disney was focusing on something relate-able to boys for a change. He began debating between being Hiro and Wasabi for Halloween back in February.

The BH6 Tsum Tsum plush can be found at Disney Stores now. I found them at DL last week and others have recently purchased them at Once Upon a Toy in DTD/WDW.

You should be fine - they've got no end date. Things can always change last minute, but at this moment, you're good!

You have NO idea how happy this makes me. YAY!!! Forget my kid, I have to meet Baymax ha ha!!!
