We are thinking of using a timeshare that we have in Williamsburg, VA to exchange to something in London (Dorsett Shepherd's Bush hotel) and I know that in London, we would be able to use the tube, does anyone know how I would find out information on hiring a driver to take us to other places since I know that I would not want to try and drive on the other side of the road (nor would you want me to!).

Also, any input on this hotel would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I don't know the hotel but it is not in the most convenient area for tourists. A good shopping centre (Westfield) on your door step, 40 minute walk to Kensington Palace otherwise it's a tube or bus ride to go sightseeing (but that shouldn't be a problem.)

I think a chauffeur driven car could get very expensive. Where are you planning to go? Could a train ride or coach tour be any good?

Where did you want the driver to take you? I'm sure we could advise on cheaper ways to get there.

I think we'd need to know where you plan to go.

Taxis might work out cheaper than hiring a car with a driver for the week or whatever, but honestly public transport is very good in most of the UK.

Thanks for everyone's replies...if we do decide to venture to the UK, we will be sure to post where we want to go and how do we get there!! Thanks again!
