Has anyone on here used the Hipzbag at US?
It is much cuter than a fanny pack!

Basically, it is a small wallet sized purse that has a waist strap. However you can also remove the strap and it will attach to belt loop with the hooks (you take of the waist strap and use the hooks to attach to belt loops).

Thanks!

They are cute bags. I am not sure. I thought it was a bag with a prong closure. I guess you have to show it is really secure. Though it is rightfully not the most fashionable, I do like the fanny pack, and my one converts to a purse, but has the prongs, and I have never been asked put it in the lockers. What they are looking for is interference with the bar/restraint on the rides and flying off you. I have seen many sent to the lockers to store their small bags (mostly crossovers).

I have one and love it. It closes with a magnet but has a zipper inside to secure the items.

Mischief32- have you taken yours to US or IOA?
Will they let you ride with it?
It appears to be pretty securely attached to you and the zipper secures all items inside. :confused3

I have never seen a hipz bag, but I did get a Baggolini (at TJMaxx) that converts from a cute crossover body bag to a fanny pack. Used it at both WDW and UO last autumn with no problems at either. When used as a fanny pack, I had no trouble getting on anything at UO, even the rides that have the free lockers outside of them that are required for safety purposes.

Thanks, decided to take the plunge and try the square one for UO in three and a half weeks. Will also take my neck wallet, though- so handy for the on site express passes to just whip them out of the neck wallet.

the neck wallet works better for me than anything else.

i'm not one to use a pack, hip bag, etc.

Hmm, I kinda like this. I think I might order one for my mom for Mother's Day! We have a trip booked together in July and she always insists on carrying her entire pocketbook around the parks.

Thanks for all the feedback!
I bought one for my mom for christmas since she insists on wearing the ugliest fanny packs everywhere she goes. She loves hers!
I will get one for me now too, since I can use it at US!:cool1:

If there are any Harley fans out there, they have been making hip bags for many years with the swivel clips in many styles and sizes.
You'd need to utilize a strap from something else (camara bag or whatever) though.
I just found a new use for mine, brilliant....don't know why I didn't think of it!
Thanks, OP!

Would love for you to report back and let us know if you had any issues wearing it on the rides.

I have one of these and last September that is what I used at the Disney parks. I was too nervous about using them at Universal though and didn't want to have to keep doing the locker thing so I used my Disney Fanny pack there. :rotfl2:

Would love to know for next time though.

Will do. Leave in 23 days!

That bag really caught my eye. I don't like having to worry about the lockers so I try to wear cargos or something with button pockets for my phone and cards, passes, etc. but I still worry about my stuff in my pockets. I don't care for fanny packs, but I got to researching that little bag. I ended up ordering the teenee baggallini. It can be worn as a cross body but can then make it fit around my waist. I bought it because it can do both. I just hope it will be acceptable to wear on the rides. My phone fits snugly inside (but I'm worried the iPhone 5 won't fit when I upgrade to that). The teenee bag also has loops in the back to fit through a belt. It's small and cute. Can't wait to try it out next time we come (gotta hurry and make those summer plans). Sorry, but I'm not sure how to link to amazon

I used the Baggallini teenee bag last year and did not have any problem with it (except at the airport when I forgot to take it off :lmao:). Most of the time I didn't even have to remove it for bag check.

I have something very similar made by Roots - although I think they've discontinued it now. I use it on every trip and on every coaster/ride with no issues.

I have worn a fanny pack every time we have been at UO and have never had issues with it on any ride. Might not be a great look, but better than getting a locker as far as I am concerned.
