We were just in Kidani in October for a week, and we had a great time after getting our room changed from Pembe Savannah view to a Sunset Savannah View which was what we had originally had requested. For some reason, the request didn't show up even though it was done through Member Services. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the giraffes and zebras throughout the week.
The pool at Kidani was a blast. My 7 year old loved the slide and there were pool parties going on often. We used the poolside bar as a quick service several times for meals. You have to go out the front doors and walk to the right for a little bit to get there. It was not obvious to find. We also used the shuttle to head to Jambo for quick service meals. My father-in-law was with us and would have had a hard time walking it. The shuttle runs every 10 to 15 minutes.
My son loved visiting with the African cast members and they let him and other kids play the drums with them just about every day we were there. He was adopted as a baby from Africa, so he may have enjoyed it more than others. We really appreciated everyone's hospitality. We took him over to Jambo one day for an African culture celebration on the Friday we were there too, so we were back and forth.
The buses were great at Kidani because we were picked up first and dropped off first in regards to Jambo. It was not terribly busy, but even in October, the buses filled up when visiting the parks.
We ate at Sanaa one night for dinner, and it was just my son and me. My husband came down with a stomach bug, and my father-in-law was not adventurous with his food choices. We both really enjoyed the bread appetizer with the dipping sauces. There was typical kid food choices, but everything was very African or Indian infused in the dinner choices. If you like that type of food, you will enjoy it.
Those are the things that stood out to me. I know we enjoyed the extra bathroom in our 1 bedroom villa since we had 3 adults and one child. It made a huge difference.
