Hi there,

Our honeymoon is booked for September and we are still big kids and have decided Florida is the place for us!

Just wanting to know what handy hints and tips you may have.

Thanks

Buythe bride and groom hats, you will get lots of congratulations, get the front desk to give you just married pins as well

We got married there and then honeymooned there in 2008 its the best place ever :-)

OMG I bet it is a lovely place to get married, I will certainly be getting my just married pins and the bride and groom hats.

Was fab :-) two pics in my signiture

These are not guarenteed but we got free desserts and special seating etc from cast members so special things can happen :)

Wow, I just want to go now! Did you do anything extra special like dinners, dicovery cove etc?

Research. It's a wonderful place but a big overwhelming place. Know before you go to get the most out of it. Forums are really useful and my personal favourite book is the Unofficial Guide to WDW. I highly recommend you read that. Happy planning :)

We had family with us so did a couple of dinners but they were with us for whole two weeks then we flew to mexico for proper honeymoon

The mickeys not so scary halloween party might be on during your dates and thats fun and good to see

We watched the fireworks from the polynesian beach as well with a drink which was romantic

Also wishes dessert party is good

We went back for our one year anniversary and had aprivate butker dinner atthe grand floridian and they recreated our wedding meal and we have views on magic kingdom and epcot fireworks

There are loads of things you can do. There is a weddings forum on here lots of uk and us brides and grooms on their with details of extra special things to do

The BoardWalk is a great place to eat and have a drink, you are also close to the great restaurants at the Swan and the Dolphin Hotels. Mall at Millennia is a great place for some post wedding shopping. We have a great memory of eating at the California Grill in the Contemporary Resort, we watched the fireworks in the MK while drinking champagne from the observation deck on the 14th floor. If your into your food and wine, get the Tables in Wonderland Discount card, you pay for it, but if you eat out a lot in the Disney eateries it will more than pay for itself. Disney has some great Spa’s if your into all the Spa treatments etc, they even do couples massages. Make sure you book all your 'must do' restaurants before you go, things get booked up quickly.

We honeymooned there last year :cool1:

We read through all the restaurant menus, and booked a Signature restaurant for a special meal - we went with Artist Point.

We also booked Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian Garden View Tea Room, which was wonderful.

If you've not been before, and as a previous poster said, RESEARCH. Buy the Brit's Guide and the Unofficial Guide, and read them.

My main tip - wear very comfortable shoes!! :thumbsup2

We honeymooned at WDW and our first day booked an early breakfast in Cinderellas Royal Table

There was just something magical about our first steps into the magic kingdom being quite empty and going into the castle

We also honeymoooned at WDW and its a fantastic place to just have fun.

We stayed off site that time and while it was good its not the same as on site which I see you are doing.

We did Discovery Cove and it was wonderful also spent the day at Sea World and did the tour where you get to pet a penguine.

Ate lots and enjoyed some lovely meals.

As the PPs have said get a guide book and use sites like this and Allears.net for hints and tips.

We had a great tip from a fellow Diser - we had a late dinner at 'Ohana and then wandered down to the Poly beach where we laid in a hammock. We watched the Water Pageant and then the Halloween fireworks before catching the boat back to MK.

It would have been lovely and romantic but we have 3 kids.:rotfl:
We also had cocktails - I had a lapu-lapu (delicious) and DH had a Back-scratcher, which came with a back-scratcher.:confused3

We also honeymoon at WDW and I brought home a lovely gift , my son who will be 16 in july .The Disney magic never leaves you , 117 days and my family will be back on sacred land . Have a wonderfully and truely magical honeymoon x

Smiling. I also have Disneymoon baby. Nearly 15 now though!

We had a Disney wedding and honeymoon and it is the most magical place to celebrate!
Def wear wedding ears and the "just married" badges everywhere you go on property. It doesn't guarantee you anything but you get some lovely comments from cast.
And you get the BEST character interaction when they know you're there on honeymoon, especially if you get character couples together like Donald and Daisy and Minnie and Mickey!
Watching fireworks on the beach at the Poly with a cocktail in hand is pretty special too!

You're going to have an incredible time!

We had our Honeymoon at WDW too! It was our best Disney trip. Definitely ask for the Just married badges we got so many nice comments and little extras from wearing them. They even announced it on the train to rafikis island thingy at AK. Everyone cheered it was amazing! We did breakfast in cinderellas castle which was amazing, we were really fussed over in there. Like everyone has said though planning is the key! Good luck!
