Hilton tokyo bay vs toy story hotel

As much as I would love to stay at toy story..that $1100 increase is something..and not sure if inwould regret it..like that could go towards flight upgrade, souvenirs, disney passes, food
I'm late to responding but the three of us (me and my two 20 something year olds) stayed at the Hilton back at the end of February 2025. We got a room with 3 beds so we each had what was close to a twin size bed per person. I think they have rooms with 4 beds so all of you could have your own bed (parents could push theirs together and kids could be farther apart if you like). The rooms are big and - for Japan - enormous. We had something like a "happy magic" room because those were the only ones with 3 beds for our dates. It was themed towards kids but it was not over the top. (just to emphasize - we had 3 twin beds and not one of the rooms with bunk beds)

I personally LOVED the Hilton and would go back. Rooms were so great (ocean view we had a view of Mt. Fiji!!); Lawson's in the lobby was fantastic; breakfast buffet was a lot of fun. I have some mobility issues and took the bus to the monorail line and I think I rarely waited more than a minute or two. It's literally a 5 minute walk however. I'm a frequent WDW visitor (one of my sons is a CM) and I am super picky about hotels. The Hilton was almost like being at a monorail loop hotel at WDW.

Side note: The Mimaru hotels have rooms with 4 "twin" beds which would be a good fit for your family. We moved from the Hilton to a Mimaru hotel in Ueno and it was great - 4 beds, a kitchen table and small kitchen area.

Thank you for the helpful information! I booked the ocean view so I am looking forward to that. I'm going to stick with the Hilton. More room too. I am one of those out open to close at parks.

I did look into the mimaru ones earlier this year, but everytime I checked it would not show availability. Not sure if I was looking too early or they were actually sold out.

We stayed at both when we were there in February. Not really by choice, but because I realized too late that we really needed 1 more night at Disney and Toy Story was sold out so we started at the Hilton and then moved next door.

Personally, Toy Story was a delight for us because we had a 5 year old with us. We also traveled with two senior adults - they both would have much preferred staying the entire time at the Hilton. Larger rooms, quieter lobby spaces, way more dining options. I LOVE a theme so I was fine to swap the larger rooms for Toy Story. Even for 2 adults and a child, the room was tight. We each slept in our own bed and he slept on the trundle. I can't imagine where you'd put 2 teenagers in those rooms

Even once at Toy Story, we still walked over to Hilton some for stores/food.

That's great, i have elderly in party so I'm more at ease with my decision. What about wheelchair access in the parks? I think I read you need to bring a certification from your country to use them in parks? Did you use wheelchair?

We actually did not use the wheelchair, though my MIL would have lasted longer if we had.

If you haven't read it already, TDR Explorer was in a wheelchair due to an accident and updated his website with lots of information on accessibility. He might have some rental info!

I bought his guidebooks, and they were inexpensive and fantastic. He caters to English speaking Tokyo Disney guests if you haven't dug through his site (also lots of free info there - the guide was just great to download on my phone in advance for easy reference). He also has a great Instagram acct with info. He's a Canadian who has been living in Japan for some years now: https://tdrexplorer.com/tokyo-disney-resort/

Yes I had forgotten he was in an accident and uploaded a video about that. I never clicked on it because well it didn't apply to me until now. Thanks for bringing it up I'll check it out!
