Hilton LBV shuttle vs Downtown Disney Bus

Hi there,

We'll be staying at Hilton LBV. What would be faster for getting to Magic Kingdom? Taking the hotel shuttle (which is shared apparently with two other hotels and runs every 30 minutes) or walking to Downtown Disney and taking a bus to a monorail resort and transferring?

Can non Disney resort guests ride the Disney busses?

What is the best route to Magic Kingdom on the Disney system?

Can't tell you about which would be faster but you can get to the MK by taking the bus from DTD to the Contemporary and then walking over to the MK.

The buses don't start running from dtd until after the parks open. So if you're trying to get there for rope drop take the shuttle

You will find that DTD transportation isn't frequent until about 9:30ish. If you don't mind getting to the park until around 10:30 or so, use the DTD bus. Take the bus to the CR and then walk to the MK.

Bus service from DTD Mktpl starts at 8:00 a.m., but direct service to the monorail resorts starts at 11 a.m.

Between 8 & 11, the best route to MK from DTD is bus to POFQ. If you're lucky, the bus to POFQ will be continuing to MK; if not, you'll have to change buses at POFQ.

The transportation cast may try to put you on a bus to MK via SSR. Refuse, as it will take longer. Tell them you'd rather change buses at POFQ.

Buses to POFQ in the a.m. will have either "FRENCH QUARTER" or "DHFQ" on the marquee. Buses with "PORT ORLEANS" on the marquee go to PORS first; you can change at PORS West Depot, which is not as bad as SSR, but a bit longer than POFQ.

Taking the hotel shuttle is simpler, but be advised it goes to TTC, not all the way to MK. At TTC, you have to join the crowd on the monorail or ferry boat (or shuttle bus during peak periods) to MK.
