Can anyone advise me how many studios are at the Hilton Head resort, and if they are all located in the main building or are they situated around the resort. Also does anyone have a specific building that they can recommend ?

Thanks Chris :bounce: :Pinkbounc

HH has a total of 21 studios- 16 are located in the Lodge area (bldg #11 and 12) and have elevator access. The other 5 are beneath the GV's in the other resort buildings (these are on the first floor- up 2 flights of stairs since there are no ground level villas at all).

Here is the HH resort configuration.

Enjoy!

As discussed in a previous thread, there are almost NO bad views at HHI. I would ask for a studio near the pool. (Doc I had no idea that there were so few studios AWAY from the lodge. Guess we got lucky with ours.)

The only drawback...and I wouldn't mention it because I wouldn't want it to affect where you are...but I noticed this...

We stayed in a studio underneath a GV. And we had a clear earshot of anyone going up and down the stairs at any time.

That said, aim for close to the pool!

The HHI studios are some of the biggest, probably right behind VWL. It has a GREAT entry way/mud room and big kitchen area.

Have a great time!

There's one in Building 18, and some one who stayed there thought it had a lovely, march view. (I keep room reports on HH and OKW) We stayed in Building 28, view of interior trees-we didn't find it too private sitting on the porch. Guess we'd been spoiled with the 3rd floor in the lodge-that's beautiful!
Any room reports on HHI?

Forgive me for hijacking the post, but after reading through Doc's resort configuration for HH, I have a question about the studios. Doc mentioned the possibility of a 3-bedroom by booking a 1-bedroom and 2 studios in the lodge. Does that mean that all 3 rooms would be connected? Could someone confirm this? Thanks!

Bump...Really interested in reserving a 1-br and 2 studios if they are connected. Does anyone have first-hand knowledge of this layout? And could anyone point me in the direction of a map of the HH resort showing building numbers?. Thanks so much!

My understanding is that this option is available only as an accessible 3BR- since none of the five GV's at HH are handicap accessible. I have never seen the inside of the rooms that would be used to know if they do connect, so I can't confirm the availability of this configuration. There would be only one (if it indeed exists) and I know it would be only for handicap access. Because of those issues, it will be extremely difficult to reserve, except at 11 months.

I know that VB has one such configuration (there are no accessible 3BR Beach Homes there either). I have stayed in a 1BR at VB that had two connecting doors. One in the usual living room location and the other thru the master bedroom.

You may have to call MS to find out how to reserve such a configuration.

Good luck!

Tommy Towery has a map of the resort on his site:

Building 11 is listed as the Live Oak Lodge.

Also, check last years Member Guidebook. I think they have a map of the buildings at HHI.
