Hilton Head - Recent Activity List

My family is heading to HH DVC the last week of April for eight nights. Has anybody been there recently and have a listing of the on site activities? I have read the list on disney.com, just wanted to know how up to date it is.

In addition, what are some of your favorite family friendly island restaurants? (We have a 4 year old and 20 month old).

For a family-friendly resturaunt, gotta recommend Captain's Seafood. Great place-and anyplace that puts a roll of paper towels on each table is my kind of place! It's only about a mile or two from the resort, too.

We ate at Captain Seafood's and we were not impressed. I know why they have paper towels at every table, it is to soak up the GREASE!

Of course, we live in Oregon and have FRESH seafood all the time. Not Fried!

I would think you would be getting fresh seafood in Hilton Head...the ports of Charleston and Savannah are nearby. That would be fresh FRIED seafood of course. Southerners like their fish fried.

if you go early, before the bar crowd gets there, we like to sit outside at San Miguels. It is fun to watch the boats and yachts roll in and see the DVC resort right across the water. Alot of people like the Old Oyster Factory. There is always kids running around everywhere. It can get very crowded and long wait though. There is the normal places like Fuddruckers, Cacker barrell and Tony Romas etc... Even nice places like Alexanders welcome kids and have menus for them. Scotts too. they both have nice patio seating and early diner prices. There are really too many to name. If you pick a place because of the type of food you like, in HH it would be rare to find one you do not like. We make a point to try atleast one new place every time we visit and we have not found a place that was bad yet.
