Hilton Head questions

We're taking our first trip to Hilton Head at the end of June and we're so excited! I just have a few questions -

There are no beach chairs and/or umbrellas provided at the beach, correct? Are they available for rental and if so does anyone have a recent price?

Do they have the same H20 amenities at the villas that they have at the WDW resorts?

I know there are no sit down restaurants at the resort but there are some nearby. Are they within walking distance or will we need to drive to restaurants?

There are no beach chairs provide ON the beach by Disney. I don't recall what the rental is (we bring our own).

There are plenty of restaurants within very easy walking distance (like 2 mins).

H20.... I'm not sure if you are talking about drinking water or playing in water.

Thanks! Trying to decide whether or not to take our own chairs but I'm guessing the rental is not inexpensive.

Sorry for not clarifying - I meant the H20 shower gel, shampoo, etc. That's the brand they use at WDW & on DCL.

Yes, they have the same H20 shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel and soaps. You can also buy it in larger sizes at the Mercantile to take with you.

Didn't see that one coming. A male thing I suppose. I know what it is, but didn't even occur to me.

I thought there was a chair/umbrella swap thread on here somewhere, but it may be booked up (everyone would split the cost and then leave them for the next person in the swap when they checked out).

We just returned form HHI and did the chair/umbrella rental. We would not have done it if we had understood the pricing but we were newbies.

We arrived at the beach at 1:30 on Monday. We wanted the chairs/umbrella for Tuesday as well. We paid $30 for the first day and $18 for the 2nd day ($48 total). What we did not realize is that they put the chairs away at 5pm each day. We did not plan to return to the beach until 5pm on Tuesday as I like to avoid the super hot parts of the day. Everything had been put away when we arrived so we basically lost that $18. We could have paid only $18 for the Monday afternoon if we had known to get the chairs just for that afternoon. Anyway, we wont rent the chairs again!

You can walk to restaurants in the marina or take a short drive to lots more restaurants. We loved Boathouse and the Crazy Crab was just OK. We avoid the mexican restaurant in the marina but many others have posted that they like it.

HHI is a great place, have fun!
