Hilton Head One Disappointment

My friends....well....the wife...she took the opportunity to let me know her decision to by Marriott was far better than mine to buy Disney. However, although she's been to disney with me in Hilton Head and in Disney World, she has never been a Disney fan. It was just one more time for her to gloat. Maybe I should just leave her home next time? I guess I'm a slow learner!

For HH and non DVC options she's likely correct.

A DISer posted a report referring to the sofa as the "ejector sofa." I thought that was pretty apropos and also funny.

Really just LOL at that one and SO true!!

That sofa is my only complaint about HHI. However since we spend more time sitting in beach and pool chairs and use the sofa very little, it really doesn't damper the vacation in anyway.

I remember reading here that there was a major refurbishment in the plans at HHI in the next few months. We'll be at HHI next week for Thanksgiving and I'm definitely planning to ask them about it.

How about sitting on the deck it is nice too.

Believe it or not, two of the four days we were there the high for the day was in the low 60's with 20 mph winds! I was freezing so we never sat on the deck, but they do have those nice rockers still.

Ah, the eject-o-couch! My only complaint about HHI. I always sit in one of the chairs.

Yeah, but these couches are different. You would have to sit on them to understand why they are un-usable. Much DIfferent than their counterparts at WDW.

I was just there two weeks ago and I thought it was just our couch. Good to know we weren't going crazy. But, seriously, it was more of a minor annoyance than anything else.

My GF's actually walked onto the Marriott property by mistake and they said the pool is beautiful.

Yes - I would leave her home the next time. If she acts like that she sounds insecure and rude. I am sure there are people who just don't "get" the Disney HHI resort theme. I absolutely loved it for its unique character and I can't wait to go back.
