Hi- can anyone tell me if there is anything special going on at hilton head on memorial day or that weekend? I have two teenage boys , myself, hubby and 85 year-old mom that is going along. Do you think my mom can do the dolphin cruise? She doesn't walk long distances but we will bring her wheelchair for those. Otherwise she's in good health and so excited about a vacation. The boys can do their own thing but any suggestions of places they would especially like? Places with music etc? They will golf too.

They can ride a bike to Pirate Golf. They might like sitting outside at San Miguels Mexican. They have an outdoor seating and music everynight from 7 until. Adventure Island has lots of video games and laser tag and golf. It also has a fighter plane simulator, roller coaster sim, and a parachute sim. there is a small water park at the Comfort Inn. THey will also like Wild Wings cafe. Onsite activities they might enjoy would be the Kyacking in the marsh waters. A sail on the Schooner Welcome would give them a little example of the movie "Master and Commander" if they saw it.

My mother really enjoyed the dolphin cruise when she was 80, and she has never been a 'water' person. We are thinking of doing it again next month, when she is 84. For your boys, right across the bridge on Shelter Cove, there are several restaurants at night that have live music outside. Scott's and San Miguel's come to mind. They would probably enjoy going down to the area where Salty Dog Cafe is (sorry can't remember the name of the general area, someone else will remember, hopefully). There are mini golf places nearby, and there seem to always be a lot of teenagers on the island. I notice this in the movie rental stores and on the beach. Since there is no theme park, I have never been able to get my high school age son to go with me, so let me know if yours enjoy it!
