Hi folks, I'm somewhat of a lurker, love to read the boards and get great ideas for my psychotic passion that is Disney. BCV is our home resort and we are taking our first trip home in june. We had enough points leftover for 4 days at Hilton Head. If anyone has been in Jan. I would like some input on things to do, favorite places to eat. We have a 1 bedroom villa reserved for our family of 4. Thanks , Disneyfred. Luv ya, Mean it!!!

I would suggest a day trip to Savannah, GA only 40 mins away. What a great city, the tours and the history of the city is wonderful.

Spicycat, thanks for the concerns, but I have been posting quite a bit recently, you must have missed them.

We're headed for HHI checking in on the 18th of Jan. We always go in January and love the quite times and somewhat lack of big crowds.

There is plenty to do in January, and the weather usually is in the 70's, but may have some rain. I especially like it because it is the off season for golf, and you can get some really good deals on the courses. I usually play three or four times for between $25 and $35 with cart. I like to play 9 holes on several different courses and play after noon, so that makes it cheaper.

There are scheduled activities at the DVC and there are still some beach things to do as well. We usually walk and I take photos of seagulls (must have a hundred or so) and this year wil do the same since I just got a new Digital Rebel Canon camera.

We took the Spirit of Harbourtown cruise to Savannah last year, and highly recommend it as a way to get a cruise in and a trip to Savannah. You're only there for a few hours, but it is still fun.

We'll be staying ten days this year.
