Hilton Head DVC - Dogs?

Does anyone know if dogs are allowed to stay in the Hilton Head Disney resort? I thought I saw dogs walking around when we stayed a year ago, but could not remember. We have a pockey poodle who is 2 pounds and hate to leave her alone.

Sorry, no dogs allowed except for service dogs such as Seeing Eye dogs for the blind. Perhaps that is what you may have seen?

Sorry, your pockey poodle needs to stay in a nice secure safe kennel. I have show dogs, and while I love them dearly, I do NOT want them on vacation with me when I know they aren't welcome. If you can't leave Pockey at home, you might see if there is a kennel near Disney's HHI resort that you could board the dog so you could visit daily.

We have used the Evergreen Pet Lodge for our dog whenever we visit HHI. It's near the airport. We were very happy with them. I'd like to mention that our dog was considered extremely elderly. She just turned 16 this past May, and hopefully she will be returning next year with us when she is 17.

Sometimes those from the boats walk their dogs in the grass. I was told on 2 occasions by staff there that this is allowed as long as they stay on the outside of the road away from the buildings. And some people just break rules.

Perhaps you saw Shadow being walked around (Golden Retriever I think). This June we saw him 3 or 4 different times at different spots in the resort.

OT: I assume pockey is the same as a tea cup? Love those little dogs.

Ours aren't quite that small ranging 8-20 lbs.
