I've seen several posts about Hilton Head during summer months and even Spring and Fall. But, I'm curious about people's experiences during Christmas. I usually take the family to WDW around Christmas/New Years when we use our points but we're interested about trying HH.

Any thoughts?

I don't think that there would be much to do at Hilton Head at Christmas. Usually too cold for the beach or pool which are the main draws at HH. Also most of the boat tours don't go out after Thanksgiving. depending on the weather you might be able to bike ride and get in a round of golf or two. Don't get me wrong-I love Hilton Head just don't think it would be much fun in the winter.

We have done Christmas! It was AWESOME!!! While we didn't golf, we had so much fun at the resort that we hardly left. We enjoyed Christopher the Naturalist, we swam in the pool, we did the activities every day such as Gyataku (sp?), then on Christmas Day there were special activities that we participated in. Santa visited the resort on Christmas Eve. There was a "Snow Ball Fight" with socks and staff. There was so much to do, and plenty that you can decide not to do. (very cruise-like in that manner). It was not too cold. We would do HH at Christmas again in a heartbeat.

It was almost completely empty the week before Christmas and through the day after Christmas. But the onslaught started the afternoon of the 26th. The resort was completely booked the week after Christmas leading to NYE.

Christmas meant that the weather was cool enough to not have to worry about bugs.

It was one of our fave vacations EVER, and part of the reason we decided to spend some time at VB this year...we like that resort speed, with options to do provided activities. (cruise-like)

Any other questions, ask away!!!
