We are considering a small add on but haven't decided where yet. How hard is it to book HHI at 7 months for stays in May or September? Right now we would want a studio or possibly a one bedroom.

You might be OK...but there are only 21 2BR lockoffs at HHI, meaning there are a maximum of 21 studios and 21 1BR's available. It could be hit or miss for May and September.

We bought a 50-pt add-on at HHI so that we could get the 1BR for Easter week (Su-Th) every three years.

There are 5 GV's, 76 dedicated 2BR's and (21) 2BR lock-offs at HHI so it is not a huge resort. I think it is starting to gain popularity and as the DVC membership grows, the home resort advantage will become more and more important.

Good luck!

We booked for the week after Easter last year at 7 month window, 1 BR without a problem. I thought that was a pretty busy time, I think the resort was full when we were there.

It's 5 months out now, did you try looking on-line for this Sept and see if anythings open still?

We've been able to book a 1BR at 7 months for a week in September (and the resort was not full) and a 2BR at 7 months for late June. The resort was much busier then. I really think May and September are not a problem since schools are in session.

We bought a small add on last year. We go in the summer and even that is tough! But I have found cash rates so that is ok as long as we can get in. We go mid august.

Last year we booked a studio at 7 months for a long weekend the 2nd week in May.

We tried for a 1 Bedroom at 7 months last June for 3 nights and one night was never available so we stayed at Vero Beach instead.

Read up on HHI to discover they have very few 1 Bedrooms. So this year at 7 months we tried for a 2 bedroom in August for 3 nights and got it!!!
