Hilton Head and Vero Beach

Hello Everyone,
We plan on talking a long trip this year to hilton head and vero beach, but I'm worried about my chances of booking. What are the chances of booking at the 7 month mark for eary and mid June?

HHI is very difficult. I am not sure about VBR.

I agree about HHI. That's why we added on points there to get 11 month window for June,July August. That being said, we were successful once at getting August at 7 months in 2 bdroom sun-wed for 3 nights. There is a better chance for 2 bdrooms as there are more of these at the resort. Weekends use huge amount of points, but are also a possiblity 7 months. All in all from mid-June to when school reopen it is very difficult to get anything at HHI. We already made our June 2009 reservations on July 10!

I was able to get Vero at 6.5 months for early June of this year. No luck for HH. I think that Vero is easier to get. I have heard of similar success stories for Vero in early June. Loved it. Would go back in a flash, but also want to try HH in June.

If it doesn't matter the order I would try booking HHI early June because every week after becomes harder. VB gets easier. How many days are you going total. I wonder how the new 7 day booking rules apply with split stays meaning I wonder if you're allowed to book up to 7 days for each resort.

last summer, we were able to get a one bedroom for a Friday through Tuesday stay for Labor Day weekend at 7 months out...it was alot of points but we loved the resort so to us, it was worth it. Also I had been told on these boards that a one or two bedroom would be more likely than a studio.

would love to try Vero for next year...so we shall see.

We plan on driving down and stopping at HHI for two days at a studio or 1bd, then staying at SSR for five days, then go to VB for two days drive back then spend one night at HHI for rest. But if we can't get HHI, we will just fly and maybe stay at VB for a couple of days. I think I will have to addon at HHI
