Any opinions from those that have stayed here? Walking distance to restuarants, sights, etc.? Getting Disney transport to the port, but need ideas on things to do. Getting in the night before & staying the day after, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

depends on walking distance. it's a nice resort. cool marina. nice pool. However rooms are double beds..not queens. if one day it's fine. it's about 3/4 mile to some other restaurants or a publix.
however Embassy Suits 17th is near there and has a nice pool, nice rooms and really close to multiple restaurant's

We stayed at the Hilton once…never again. We now stay at the Renaissance Marina. Cleaner rooms, better location, good food nearby, nice staff, and have always been able to book with points.

We stayed there several years ago when we took a Princess cruise out of Ft Lauderdale. I agree there's really not much within "walking distance", but there is a (pricey) restaurant in the hotel. And it had shuttle service to the cruise port.

Where are you catching the Disney transport to the port?

Why do you need Disney transport? You could stay on the beach or the Las Olas area and just be a cheap Uber or taxi ride from the port. Not to mention you would have tons of stuff within walking distance to do. You can also show up at the port as early or as late as you want without being tied to waiting in line for a Disney shuttle. The Disney shuttles from hotels and airports are hit or miss.

Disney transport has it's place when you are an hour away from the port, but when you are just a couple of miles what's the point?

iv'e stayed hotel delio....it's cheap uber ride to port. and it also has food "jaxson ice cream parlor" which is great if you have kids to have dinner the night before. not much of a pool.

We stayed there last January. Pool was nice but it was too chilly to use it. We were in an annex room and as mentioned it was two double beds and room could have used a bit of a refresh. Staff was nice. Main tower building was nice. Coffee shop in lobby had long lines in the am. The Marina itself was cool with all the large yachts and boats coming and going. We had a car rental so did not use DCL transfers. The DCL rep meets you in the lobby morning of cruise. They also have a water taxi which goes to several places but is costly. On our return we stayed at the Marriott Dania Pointe Airport hotel which was very nice. We are staying at their sister hotel the A/C Hotel Dania Pointe airport next month for our pre night stay on July 4th for our July 5th cruise. They share a pool with the Marriott. They have queen beds.
