Hilton Bonnet Creek Shuttles - Reliable?

Hi Everyone,

I just had a colleague tell me that they booked a week at Hilton Bonnet Creek in May. I know Wyndham BC but I don't know Hilton BC. She said she was told the shuttles are every 30 minutes - true?

I think I would recommend a car for them, but if the shuttles are free and reliable, that would be a decent savings.

Is there a shuttle from the airport? Or do they need to find a towncar or something?

Many thanks!

My understanding is they are one of the better shuttles and there is no charge. This is one of the few places I would stay without a car if I had no plans to go anywhere other than Disney.

Direct Transportation to Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Parks
Enjoy our complimentary private MEARS Motor Coach transportation directly from Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria® Orlando to the neighboring Disney® Theme Parks and Disney Springs™ Area.

Please be advised that the shuttle service runs during regularly scheduled park hours only and is subject to change without prior notice.

Go here and insert pickup/drop points and it will come up with how often it runs, varies by location.

Perhaps I was spoiled by staying at the various Disney Springs Hotels, but I found the shuttle service to be mediocre my one stay at the Hilton Bonnet Creek. Trips to the Transportation and Ticket Center (transfer to Magic Kingdom) were roughly every 30 minutes. Other parks only saw service once per hours. And, I recall times when it was 2 hours between trips.

I'm very "fly by the seat of my pants" when it come to Disney parks. So, lack of consistent shuttle service annoyed me. Other people that have a schedule and stick to it wouldn't likely have problems.

As HopperFan notes, they do publish the shuttle schedule. Unfortunately, it's usually only about a week in advance. Still, it will give you an idea about how it works.

Thanks guys! They have two preschoolers, so I think for flexibility I might still recommend a rental car...of course they can do whatever they please :) Uber would be a great backfill to the shuttles, but with little kiddos, I'm guessing they're still in carseats or boosters.

Yes, the big advantage of this location is the very close proximity to be able to Uber if needed. As writerguyfl says, Disney Springs offers the best shuttle service BUT for an "offsite" resort the Hilton has been reported better than the average bear. I do understand them wanting to stay there, it is VERY nice and much nicer than the Disney Springs Hilton resorts. I just always have a car with me, and I park for free with AP.

Yeah, they've already booked a package through the Hilton and it sounds like they're pretty committed with it. We are big fans lately of Wyndham Bonnet Creek, but like you we always rent a car and we have APs, so parking is a non-issue.

I think they'll be fine. They will either have fare to/from hotel, free shuttle and some Uber fees OR rental car costs, gas, parking at hotel, parking at parks ... it will add up. I have stayed at Hilton Orlando which is mostly a clone of WBC one and we LOVED it.

We were there in December and will never stay onsite again. They go to MK every half hour. The other parks are every hour to two hours. It shares the bus with the Waldorf next door, but stops at the Hilton first. It was always within two minutes of it's expected time and was never full to capacity. We had stayed at the Poly for our two previous trips but love the Hilton Bonnet Creek and will be there for our next trip this August. I can't say enough good things about the hotel.

Great to hear!

I was happy with the shuttle service. It was always on time, rarely full. They always had a Disney movie showing, which dc enjoyed. On our second day at MK, though, we decided to get a cab to the CR and walk from there, so as to avoid the TTC. But we always took the shuttle back from the parks. We did not rent a car and were fine. We took a car service from the airport, but we do that when we are staying onsite anyway. I just really prefer not to drive on vacation, so I am fine spending a few dollars on cabs here and there for convenience.
