We are booking Hilton Bonnet Creek for next Aug. Has anyone been there/visited? It looks great online!

I have visited a friend there once, but will be there from 11/10-12/7 or so. I'll let you know when I get back, but my friend stays there from Sept-Jan each year and loves it.

This is a new resort next to the Wyndham Bonnet Creek and the new Waldorf resort. It officially opens tomorrow.

Sorry. Didn't realize that there would be two Bonnet Creeks. That will cause some confusion.

We drove through there last Thursday and it looks beautiful. They would not let us get out of our car and look around because they were still doing work. It is suppose to open tomorrow so I hope that got everything done. We plan to stay there hopefully in December for a couple of nights.

Does anyone know what is going on the weekend of October 24th? We are booked for 2 nights at an on-site Disney hotel, but wanted to switch to the Hilton BC but the price we get (AAA rate) is $152 a night. I know that it's not a bad price but if I look at the weekend before we can get a rate of $84 a night and the weekend after (Halloween) a rate of $84 a night. I just don't understand why the only weekend in October we can go costs so much more a night.

Not yet but I will be in four days!!! We will be there Oct. 7th -14th! I will try to report when I get there, if not when we get back! I can't wait!

That's great! Do you plan on going next door to the WA to eat or use the kids' club? If you do, I'd love to read what you thought of it, too. Will you be using the lazy river pool and the transportation shuttle to the TTC? Thanks for reporting back when you return.

Have a great vacation!

We definitely will be visiting WA, hopefully for a meal... I won't be able to report on the kids club as this is an adult's only trip. I can't wait to report on the pool and lazy river!! Not sure what the transportation report will be like, we are renting a car but we may utilize the free transportation if it's available and reliable.

OP here. I've been reading everyone's replies. I think we are booking for next Aug. The resort looks nice. We'd get a rental car, so no worry about transportation here. We are using Hilton points for this trip, which is why we are booking this hotel. We usually stay at the Poly, so this wil be a new experience for us. I wanted a hotel that could keep the kids happy on our "non park" days. The DTD Hilton looked like just another hotel to me, but Bonnet Creek's lazy river and slide sold me!

FYI- I saw on Travelzoo that they had a rate of $179 for a deluxe suite for the Waldorf Astoria. Had we not already booked our vacation we would consider it. It looks really good,
