Hilton Anaheim

Anyone stayed at the Hilton Anaheim lately? I found it for $85 a night. It seems far but is it walkable? Any pictures? I tried search but it was mostly old stuff. Thanks in advance!

I you found it for $85 - wow! I just paid $145 a night at the D23 Expo. It is very close to the Convention Center but not really to DL.

Well, sorta. We walked to the Toy Story lot, about 2 or 3 block and grabbed a shuttle and was at the parks in minutes.

The rooms were eh, nothing special. Comfortable enough beds, water pressure a little light. the bathroom door is odd, it slides instead of being a real door, no bathroom sinks outside.

The employees were great. Check-in and check-out super fast.

My Dh and I stayed there when we went just the two of us. We went for an anniversary trip. He had a room with park view, so we could some of the fireworks from there! I don't think it's really walking distance, but I rather not get to tired walking to and from the parks. The ART pulls right up to the hotel. We like having a starbucks at the hotel and the restaurant was good for breakfast (the only meal we at there). We did order in room service one night and the food was really good and stayed in. Afterall it was an anniversary trip.

We stayed there in March of this year, and it was a good experience. My review is on tripadvisor. I posted it here, too, but have no idea where it is! We got it through priceline for about $75 per night, and we were upgraded for free to a Disney view room. It's walkable but very long. We used ART all but one time, I think. We had good service, housekeeping was fine. Pool was closed so no comment on that. I'd say it's worth $85 per night, especially if you can get the Disney view room for that. Don't forget to factor in the $14 or $15 per night for parking though if you're driving.

It's a bit of a walk, so with a child we use ART. However, if you don't have kids, it's walkable. The easiest way is to go out of the Hilton like you're going to the convention center, cut through that area, cross the street at Disneyland Dr. and then cut through the Grand California hotel to Downtown Disney.

If you do have kids, the Hilton added a waterplay area by the pool, that has a splash area, a small water slide and water dump bucket, so it looks similar to Hojo's water play area. They also were showing movies by the pool (Tangled when we were there) and had a kids art and craft thing from 12-6 by the pool. I'm not sure if the arts and movies were just for the summer and/or only by the weekend, but something to keep in mind.

The rooms are clean and we've never had a problem with anything.

If you are booking them with last minute travel, be sure to check your Hilton bill before you checked out. I had prepaid with LMT and Hilton tried to charge me for the room. I went down to the check in desk and she took off the charges but said it happens all the time because they need to do something in their system when checking you in and she said they always forget to check the box.
