Hillbillies head South! March 2-11, 2012 COMPLETED 6/26

day 1 plan - so exciting to actually see them written, makes it seem so much closer to the trip don't you think?

WOW!!! That looks like one exhausting day, but it sounds like you have everything planned that you can plan. :) I, personally, think it would be fun to caravan to Disney... I remember our family doing that a lot when I was younger (not to Disney though - we never left MN LOL) - but it was still fun, everyone had CBs too... Memories.

Can't wait to hear all about the rest of your plans. :)

D~

oh my CB's....we caravaned to a regional baseball tourney and every car had those things....that was too much fun for us 15 year olds back then. And of course, a little too much fun with some very mad truckers when our parents weren't around to hear those conversations///:rolleyes1

We would to drive down to Disney sometime, but not gonna happen yet. Lampoons vacation all over again.

Wow, that is definitely going to be a long day, but it will be fun traveling with other people. If you get sick of the kids or sick of DH you can just car swap yourself! :lmao:

We are blessed to get to fly this time. This will be our kids' first flight. We won't be able to do it every year, we got a steal this time. But it will be fun for this one time! :thumbsup2

That's the plan! Prince Charming and I will swap, for awhile and I'll ride with my sister

I think it will be fun. At least it adds a few other ways to pass the time on the long drive!

We'll see if this turns Lampoon-esque! I have a feeling at least parts of it might. With this many people...no way everything will go right!

Back tomorrow with another update!

LOL We are HUGE Lampoon fans... We were going to watch European Vacation on our way to Europe last year - I can't remember what happened, but we didn't. Then I happened to watch it a few weeks later - and I thought "ACK!!!" so glad we didn't let the girls watch it - I'd forgotten how inappropriate it is for their age group. LOL

I hope yours doesn't turn Lampoon on you. ;)

OMG- I have had those moments too! :sad2: Movie rating in the 80's was a whole lot more "lax" on some things! We streamed Short Circuit a few months ago and watched it with our kids. DH and I kept looking at each other with saucer eyes at the horrible language and innuendos in that movie...rated PG. :scared1: We hadn't remembered any of it! :lmao:

Day Two - Saturday, March 3rd - Arriving at WDW!!!!!
The much anticipated arrival day!!!! As I said earlier, hopefully we'll be staying offsite in Orlando the night before (most of us). I believe Grumpy's crew plans to get up fairly early, check in at the Polynesian and head to the MK. I think Eeyore's crew is undecided.

We, however, like to take it easy on our arrival day!! Last 2 trips, we didn't even do any parks. We will this time, but not until evening. We plan to take it easy in the morning, not too rushed.

We'll head over to the Poly around 10 or so, most likely. Oh, how I can't WAIT for this drive. First, to see the first WDW sign and be ON PROPERTY. Sort of like this:
DSC_0003-5.jpg

And then the Disney road signs, not just regular old road signs!!

And then going through the MK parking gate, keep going, and it's our beloved Polynesian!!!
DSC_0005-3.jpg

We'll check in, doubtful our room will be ready. I am not doing online check in. Haven't done it before. We REALLY want Tokelau, east side, 1st floor - hopefully we'll either get it or can "negotiate" for it, LOL! BTW - everyone is staying in different parts of the Poly, we're not trying for the same building or anything - space is good for everyone!!

next up in our plans is to monorail over to the GF. Tink has an appointment in the salon at 11 AM to get her hair braided! This will be her 3rd time getting it done at Disney (4th anywhere). She loves it, I love it (less fighting and time spent on hair, keeps her kind-of crazy hair looking good). We've had Carmen twice and we're hoping for her again. she's sweet and fun!!
0362.jpg

034-1.jpg

Lotso and Woody will likely go over to the GF with us and just hang out. However, if MIL is having trouble getting into Disney/checked in, they'll probably go help her.

Then we'll monorail back to the Poly where the plan is to meet Beast and Prince Charming for lunch at Captain Cook's!! They'll be driving from Daytona this morning, checking in at CSR and coming over for lunch. PC, Lotso and I are all really looking forward to an Aloha Pork Sandwich for our first Disney meal!!

The plan at this point is to swim if it's warm enough. Not looking like the slide will be open, which is a major bummer. But swimming in March is still a novelty for us!! Hopefully our room will become unavailable during this time. Lotso and PC will unload our vehicle while Beast and I stay at the pool with the kids. Then the guys will come back and I will go unpack us - like to do this alone!!

Then it's showers for everyone and we're headed.....

to the MK of course!!!!!

This is the night we'll be celebrating Tink's birthday (March 1st). She won't have seen MIL since Christmas, so it will be a happy reunion and birthday dinner. She got to choose the restaurant for all of us. What did she choose??

You might be thinking:
Disney2011186.jpg

But nope, she's growing out of that a bit and just wants to "see" the Princesses this trip, no meal.

She chose Crystal Palace!!

today3.jpg

Much to everyone's delight - we LOVE the food! She doesn't care much about the characters, but the food is just so good!!

We have 4:30 PM ADR for dinner. Early, but we wanted before the parade and it's what we could get for 14 people!!

As a surprise, I plan next week to order a Mickey Head cake for Tink!! She'll love it!

Looking forward to some of that delicous food - pork, corn spoonbread, bread pudding, just all YUM!!! And the restaurant is so gorgeous!!

The characters are fun too!!

today5.jpg

After dinner, we plan to catch the 7 PM MSEP and watch Wishes at 8. Hours have been extended to 12 AM, so I guess we'll just hang out as long as we make it and do whatever rides don't have long lines.
Disney2011169.jpg

In general, for our family at least, the "plan" is to have less of a "plan" this time around. It's trip #4 and the last one was less than a year ago. We've done all the major things. Not everything is a MUST -DO this time, we really want a more relaxed pace.

**Oh, and important note- while our dining ressies are almost all together, we definitely plan on flexibility and everyone going where they want. Everyone has to do what THEY want on this trip -sticking together all the time is impossible and wouldn't be good, LOL **

Of course we'll head back to the Poly for a good night's sleep!!

Great plans! I am excited to see your family loves CP. We have ADR's for there this time, and we have never tried it. While our kids are not big fans of the Pooh characters, it will be fun to get the autographs anyhow. :goodvibes

I agree with you on not trying to do too many things as a group. DH wants to invite both sets of grandparents on the next trip. :scared1: Hopefully we can talk them into splitting up often. My parents will have no problem with that plan. They lived in FL for 10 years and have many friends they try to visit when they are down there. They will probably to choose to stay off property, even. :thumbsup2 DH's parents however...his mom is controlling and likes to be in everyone's business. :sad2: He realizes this, but he wants to spend time with his dad, and give them all an opportunity to make memories with the grandkids, yada yada yada. :lmao:

plans sound great, i like the idea of a casual first day.
hair braiding - never heard of it, what a great vacation trick
can't believe she chose the CP. It's on our maybe list, so glad to hear how good it is.

Sorry for the delay!! Been a very busy couple of days...and so will most of them be until we leave. But I found a few free minutes, so we're on to:

Day 3 - Sunday, March 4th - Epcot and MK
Our first full day in Disney and we plan to do it big!!!

We'll all just eat quick breakfasts in our rooms or maybe grab pastry from Captain Cook's (or wherever for our CSR'ers).

Let me take a brief moment to tell you about the joys of the Chocolate Chip Croissant at Captain Cook's. My most FAVORITE thing in all of Disney World. This is no ordinary Chocolate Croissant like they have at all the buffets. I find those OK - a tad dry and the chocolate is usually kind of one big blob in the middle. NOT THESE. Oh no, these are the most moist pastries ever. I even wonder if there's maybe a tad bit of cream cheese in there, they kind of have that feel (but not the taste really). And they have a sort of light glaze on them too, also keeping them moist. But the chocolate is just amazing. They use teeny tiny MINI chips, and a ton of them! So there's just so much chocolate-y goodness, I could swoon!!

I discovered these on our first trip, in 2007. At that time, both kids took naps daily. We'd come back from the parks after lunch, take a swim and then put them both down for their naps. We had a 1st floor room, and DH and I would sit outside on the patio (or grass, for full sun) with our reading materials. We'd take turns going for a walk to the beach or up to CC's for a snack. DH always got the same thing - Dole Whip. (on another note you should see how high he fills that cup! I'll see if I can find a pic). Somewhere during that week, I discovered the Chocolate Chip Croissant in the pastry case and OMG!! Ever since I'd say at least half of my snack credits go to these yummy treats. For a snack or breakfast. And when we have snack credits leftover - guess what comes home with us!! I enjoy having one in the car on the way home to cheer me up. And one or two over the following days...it's always sad when they are gone!!! I can't believe I don't have a picture of one, but I don't think I do...sorry!! I'll be sure to take one this time.

OK, so back on track...breakfast in the room and then we're planning to go to Epcot for the morning/early afternoon. We haven't discussed where we'll meet up yet. Depends on what longhouses everyone is in, I guess. So we'll monorail over to Epcot, probably around 8:20 or so I'd think.
DSC_0096.jpg

I'm thinking we'll mainly do Future World this morning - Test Track and Soarin' being the big favorites. We're also Nemo and Crush fans. I personally love Spaceship Earth. DH and his brother will be all about The Land, of course, farmers that they are.

Lunch will be wherever, and not sure if we'll be all together. DD and I had a WONDERFUL lunch in Mexico last trip - Nachos for me, Cheese Empanada for her. It was a very rainy day and after a morning at DHS, Lotso and Woody headed back to the Poly for a rest. Tink really wanted to see, well..Tink! And the fairies, who were then at Epcot.
Photo1071FourBySix.jpg

So we went there for that and lunch. Huge, delicous Nachos!! Oh, and it's pretty in there. Love these lights:
today1.jpg

Oh, I should also mention that since we're on Free Dining, we bumped both kids up to Disney "adults" for the trip. I talked with the CM about it on the phone and she assured me it was no problem. I had/have no worries about our TS -most are AYCE/Buffets anyways. but those kids' meals are kind of tiny and very little variety. Woody, especially, loves all different foods. Shrimp is a favorite!! And he's almost 10 anyways. Tink is fairly good eater as well. So for a whopping $40 total for the week, they are listed instead at ages 11 and 10 and we'll have no food worries. They can order whatever they want! Pooh Bear has been bumped to "adult" status as well.

But who knows where lunch will be today?? DD and I will have plenty of opportunities for Mexico (can never remember the CS name!) So if we're just in FW today, I'm guessing we'll be at Sunshine Seasons. Great selection there. Had an awesome lunch in 2009. 2011 wasn't AS great, but still very good.

After lunch we may do a couple more things and then head back to the Poly for swimming/rest. Assuming the pool slide is still closed, maybe a pontoon ride over to the GF to test out their slide!

Dinner tonight is at our favorite (both ours, Grumpy's family and Beast/Prince Charming's) restaurant in Disney. Any ideas what that is?? Keeping in mind we're bringing 4 sorta-burly, meat-and-potatoes, big eating kinda guys??

Yep, that's right, it's 'Ohana!!!!!!!!!
47-2.jpg

We'll all be eating here together and we can't wait!! Me personally, I love the sides, I could almost skip the meat (but of course I"ll have some). The salad, yum. Noodles, love 'em!! Broccoli too. But my favorite is the Pot Stickers - sooooooo good!! And then that Bread Pudding, OMG!! I even made it by Prince Charming's request last Easter. Came out good...but not as good as their's!!

After we stuff ourselves silly, the plan is to head to the MK. It's EMH night and the hours keep getting extended. Currently, MK is open to 2 AM this night!! We may shut her down! No definite ride plans or anything - again, take it easy, see what waits are, etc. etc.

Now MIL definitely won't be there until 2 AM. Not sure if she'll even go over after Ohana or not. So the plan is that when the kids tire out (probably not Woody and Pooh, but definitely Nemo, Buzz and Tink), us gals will monorail them back to the Poly, get PJ's on,etc. and take them to MIL's room. She'll have plenty of room so they'll spend the night there. Then we'll monorail back to the MK (LOVE being so close!!) Now this could all change of course, maybe more of us will get tired, etc. But that's the current plan.

I've never been in the MK even past 11 I don't think (kids were always too young/tired). So I'm excited to even be there to any time past midnight!!

Disney2011180.jpg

OK, sorry, this is OT, but going through old photos on Photobucket, I found this one of my adorable little Minnie Mouse for Halloween (2007 I think, after our first trip) Just had to share
jessiminniemouse.jpg

sounds like another great day
haven't been to Ohana's, is it really good for picky eaters?
your dd is too cute dressed up as Minnie

There's a lot to choose from at Ohana's, we ALL love it. If your child only eats "kid" foods (mac and cheese, chicken nuggets), I've heard they can get that from Kona for you.

Thank you!

Day 5 - MONDAY, MARCH 5 -- DHS!

Yippeee!!! Another day in Disney!! Before I start with our plans for this day, I have to comment on weather! Accuweather now has forecasts up through March 5. Yes, I know they'll change 10 times before then. That's OK. I'm still excited because right now the 3rd, 4th and 5th are all 85-87 with full-on sun!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!! Our winter here really has not been that bad, today is actually a beautiful, though cold, day with full sunshine. Even took the kids to the park for a walk and play on the playground. But it's still cold and we still want warmth!!! (Oh, and possible snowstorm coming this weekend too, of course) So I do hope the forecast doesn't change too much.

So onto Day 5....after our late night the night before at the MK, we've decided to let this be a sleep-in and relax in the morning day. If it's as warm as they're saying, kids could even go for an early swim. When booking ADR's we were unable to get a Dinner Fantasmic Package for our group for basically anytime. We took a lunch this day. So it works out well. We'll take it easy in the morning, head over to DHS around noon or so, and spend the rest of the day there.
nine.jpg

We do know that this might mean NO TSM for us on this day. That's OK. We'll make RD another day I'm pretty sure. We will be staying for EMH, though, tonight, so maybe we'll get on then!!
Disney2011108.jpg

Of course the kids want to do RNRC.
fourteen.jpg

I can't do that one, so I'll be staying with Nemo and maybe Buzz, not sure if he's tall enough. Most everyone wants to do ToT, too. Tink and I tried that last time - HATED it. Made me motion sick and I don't like that "out of your seat" feeling. So I'll be skipping that as well. I'd like to see the American Idol Experience, we've never seen that one. Other than that...whatever we do, we do, basically.

Our lunch ADR is at Mama Melrose. This gets mixed reviews. But we tried it last time and LOVED it!!! Great salad, good chicken parmesan, delicious Cannoli Cake. Can't wait to have it again.

I also plan to get a Starring Rolls cupcake at some point!! Probably chocolate peanut butter! Maybe we'll have a late CS dinner there. Who knows??!! Again, we'll just be going with the flow...

We'll have the F! passes for the first show, but now a second has been added. So again we'll just see how it goes which one we end up at. I'm thinking the first and then someone might need to drive MIL back, or at least help her to a bus.

I just hope that the weather this day does not look like this (this was taken at about 10 in the morning last trip)
Disney2011114.jpg

Your trip is getting close! I love the fact the boys are using CB's. My Daddy had one when I was growing up and I remember talking on it all the time. To strangers. :scared1:

LOL, my hubby did too! Never saw a CB until I met him, city-girl that I am!!

Day 6 - Tuesday, March 6 - Animal Kingdom

Onto another Disney day!! It's so much more pleasant to wake up in Florida in March than Ohio! However, right now Accuweather, after forecasting our first few days in the 80's, is saying only 66 for this day. Hope that goes up!!

But whatever the weather...it's still a Disney day!!

This morning, after another simple breakfast in the room, we're off to the Animal Kingdom.
eight.jpg

one.jpg

Fair warning...we're not huge fans. We've never spent more than a half day here and I don't anticipate it this time either. We do enjoy a few things: Safari, EE (not me, but the rest!), Dinosaur. We've done Lion King - it's good, but we're not big show people. You may have noticed that in our plans so far! We have never done Kali. But this summer at Cedar Point (we have season passes), the kids discovered the joy that is Thunder Canyon (similar to Kali). They rode it over and over. So if the weather is good, I'm sure we'll be doing that.
seven.jpg

Last trip, none of the 4 of us were really keen on hitting AK at all (Beast and Prince Charming did not go). But the kids wanted to try out EE, and I wanted to do the Safari. Well, they did EE...but then they bailed on me for the Safari. No one wanted to walk over there and do that, so we just left. Yep, one ride and left!! This time, I WILL go on the Safari. I'm sure everyone will, but if not, Nemo has promised he will go with me!!
four.jpg

five.jpg

Not sure where lunch will be this day. Possibly at AK - we've done Flame Tree and like it. We might also drive over to DTD for some Earl of Sandwich. YUM!! Love this place. It's not the best value on the DDP, but we don't care. Warm, gooey sandwiches...so good!! It's definitely a MUST DO for us, but when I'm not sure. Oh, and if we do that, I'll be taking my Chocolate-PB brownie (very good) to go, to have as a snack another time. Because my MUST DO DDP snack is in DTD. I'm not normally a fried-foods fan, but this is unbelievable good.

I'm talking about the Doh Bar of course!!!!!!!! The Snickers gets all melty inside, so you have the sweet, powdered-sugar covered batter, then melted, gooey (can you tell I like gooey) chocolate, and little bits of crunch from the peanuts. TO DIE FOR!!!
Disney2009273.jpg

Another lunch option is to go to CSR and have Pepper Market with Beast and Prince Charming. We enjoyed this last trip and we definitely want to try out the new lunch buffet this time!! Whatever day we do this will also be a day we likely swim there and enjoy their slide. Love all the lounge chairs there too!! That's something the Poly could use more of!!
Disney2011096.jpg

The afternoon will be spent relaxing, either at the Poly, GF (for the slide) or CSR. We have big plans tonight....

Before we load up and leave the Poly, though, tonight we plan to check out the Torch Lighting. A cool little ceremony that we always enjoy.
Disney2011006-1.jpg

Disney2011007-1.jpg

Disney2011009.jpg

After that, we're heading out to...

Our first visit to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue!! Excited for this - sounds fun and the food sounds really good, right up our alley. And unlimited beer and sangria....not going to complain about that either!! We have booked the 7:15 show. Sounds like it's best to take the boat there - have to look into it a bit more. Boat to MK and then FW?

Oh, that reminds me...Eeyore bought a Margaritaville machine a few months ago, and it's been put to good use. It will be making the trip south and we plan to enjoy many lovely concotions of the homemade variety, as well as from various Disney establishments, of course!!

And that's it for our plans for today. We'll probably make it an early night, maybe enjoy some drinks back at the Poly.

***Almost forgot to add that MIL will likely be driving back to Ft. Myers early this morning. She wants to see Fantasmic on Monday night, but cannot drive at night. Instead of paying for a whole 'nother night at the Poly, she'll likely just crash in Grumpy's room (since they only have 3) and head out early this morning***

DAY 7 - WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7 - DHS???
So at this point, we've hit the big 4 parks. Our "plans" at this point our very tenuous. Mostly, we'll just see what we feel like doing.

I'm thinking this morning, we'll head to DHS for Rope Drop, though, since we won't have done that yet. Hopefully ride TSM, maybe even more than once. Other than that, who knows??

If we haven't eaten at Pepper Market yet, I'm thinking this could be the day.

Our Dinner tonight is at Chef Mickey's. We've eaten there every trip - twice for dinner, once for breakfast. We find the food to be fine, the atmosphere to be fun and it's a great way to see those characters. The kids couldn't imagine a trip without CM!!
Disney2011015-1.jpg

Disney2011014-1.jpg

watching the monorail
Disney2011025-1.jpg

Another possibility for today would be Blizzard Beach. Basically, we're just going to keep an eye on the weather for the week and fit that in when it's warmest. The day that would be best for us is actually tomorrow, but we figure either Wed, Thurs or Fri would be fine. Heck, with the pool slide closed at the Poly, we may even go more than once. We have the WP&M option on our tickets (as does Eeyore's family) so it's not a problem to just go over there for a few hours. My kids LOVE Blizzard Beach. We thought it might be closed this trip, but lucked out when they closed it first!! I"ll save some photos of this for the next update, since that's when we'll most likely go.

In other exciting news....I ordered a birthday cake for Tink!! We'll have it at our first dinner at Crystal Palace. I called intending to order the Mickey head cake, and the (super nice!) CM informed me that they could do Minnie!!!!! So I went with that. I don't know if I've even seen a picture of this online, so I'm very excited to see it! It will be a surprise!!! I believe Sleeping Beauty is ordering a cake for Buzz for our Chef Mickey night - his birthday is shortly after our trip, so we'll be celebrating both of their birthdays on the trip.

Sorry such a short update, but that's all I know for this day!!

you've got a lot of great plans!
I love the safari - I hope you get to do it this trip.
We love CM too. Hoping to squeeze it into our trip this year if possible.

We'll be at DHS on the 7th. If you see us, be sure to come say "hi"!

We're planning on hitting BB during the week as well. We're considering the 3rd, 5th, or 6th ... weather permitting. And if it's nice, we may do WP&M option and hit it more than once. We also plan to play a round of mini-golf on one of those days as well! :goodvibes

Glad you give CM a good review. We'll be dining there on our arrival night! We ate there in 2009 and I only remember having a bad server. I don't remember anything about the food -- but that could have been because I was still recovering from sun poisoning. :headache:

Definitely the safari!! I hope you can squeeze in CM, it's great for the kids!

Sun poisoning, yikes!!! Hope you can enjoy it this time!!
DAY 8- THURSDAY, MARCH 8 - MK AND BB?
Before I start with the plans for this day, I have to share that we're sick. YUK!! DD and I at least. She started with a fever and bad cough during her bday party Saturday night. Took her to Urgicare yesterday morning. They did chest xrays as pneumonia has been so terrible around here this winter (DS had it before Christmas), but luckily it's just bronchitis. She had to stay home from school today as she still had a fever this morning. But it seems to be gone now, no Advil since before 8 this morning. She really needs to go to school! And then my symptoms started last night. Not as bad, but probably the same thing. I'll likely go to the doc tomorrow. Fun times!! Really hoping DS and DH don't get it!

Onto our plans....so even though we're in the more relaxed part of the trip, we do have plans for this morning. It's EMH at MK and we haven't done a MK RD yet (at least one isn't planned), so we'll probably head over there at 8 AM. Rides for almost 3 hours and then we're monorailing to our ADR.

Yep, we have a morning ADR this time!! Late breakfast/brunch at 1900 Park Fare. This is a first-time visit for my family, but Grumpy's clan really enjoyed it last time. I do love a good "brunch" so I'm looking forward to it. And Tink is looking forward to Mary Poppins, Alice and the Mad Hatter.

After brunch, the day is open. If there's good weather, I'm thinking Blizzard Beach. Maybe relax a bit after stuffing ourselves at brunch, and then head over to BB around 1:30/2 and stay until close, hopefully the crowds will lessen the later it gets!!

The evening is wide open. I think I forgot to mention that on Wednesday night, after CM's, we're thinking of heading over to Epcot for some WS time and Illuminations.

If for some reason we don't do that Wed, we may tonight. Or we may head to DTD for some shopping and a QS dinner there. Or if we haven't made it to Pepper Market yet, this could be the time. As I said...wide open!!

DAY 9 - FRIDAY, MARCH 9 - ???This is our last full day :( No real plans other than our ADR. That's at LeCellier for a late lunch at 2:20. We've eaten here twice before, both times for dinner before it switched to a Signature. Really love their steaks and those cream cheese mashed potatoes. Pretzel bread, chocolate raspberry shake, Chocolate Whiskey cake - OMG!! Should be a great last ADR!!

I'm thinking maybe we'll be doing Epcot in the AM before the ADR, then go back to the room and pack a bit and then head to MK for the evening. But I really have no idea. A lot will depend on what we decide for tomorrow....

DAY 10 - SATURDAY, MARCH 10--DEPARTURE DAY
I don't even want to think about this day!! But alas, we know it will come. In the past, we've gotten up very early, around 4 AM and left around 4:30 for the long drive home. That gets us home around 10 PM. Put the kids to bed, throw a load of laundry in and then get a good night's sleep. That leaves all Sunday for unpacking, getting settled in, etc. before work and school on Monday.

Grumpy's family is definitely planning on staying for a half day on this day, driving partway and spending the night somewhere, coming home on Sunday. But Nemo doesn't have school on Monday (preschool 2x/week) and both Grumpy and Cruella have the day off on Monday

Eeyore's crew and us...we're undecided. Lotso and Eeyore both plan to work Monday and the kids MUST go to school. I work from home and Sleeping Beauty is not working right now (taking care of her mom), so we could do the unpacking/laundry into Monday if we need to. We're just going to see how it goes - is there something we really want to do Saturday morning? Has the weather been poor and then it's finally going to be nice that day?? In those cases, we'll probably stay until around lunch time and then drive a good 10-11 hours Saturday, leaving only about 7-8 on Sunday, putting us home still at a decent hour. Definitely don't want to be getting home any later than 5 PM on Sunday. But we may feel like we're ready on Friday night and take off early Saturday. We'll see. No idea what Beast and Prince Charming are thinking, actually. They'll probably leave when we do.

So that's it...our plans for the week!!

In other news...
DD is doing much better and is back to school. I'm not feeling horrible, but still have the cough pretty bad, so I have an appt. this afternoon. DS is fine so far, but had a little cough this morning. If he sounds worse after school, I'll probably just take him to the Urgicare tonight. I'd rather he not miss school if he doesn't have a fever and we can avoid it.

Also just read on the Polynesian thread...someone staying there now has gotten a confirmed report that the pool slide will reopen on March 4th!! That's great news!! I'm not going to tell the kids, let them be surprised. They are prepared for it to be closed the entire time!

I plan to get my prescription filled today at Target and pick up a few things. Tomorrow I need to go to the liquor store for some Tequila!! Other than that, we're packed. Thursday is DD's actual birthday, so my plan is to take her lunch to school, then go pick up Dunkin Donuts Munchkins for the troop, fill up the tank and get the car washed and then come home and relax. We'll do a little birthday celebration with gifts after school and then try to get everyone to bed early!!

your end of the week sounds as good as the rest of the trip! And I hope you have that nice weather for BB.
My vote for the evening is DTD, i can't get enough of it!
Have fun packing.
