What I said loooooooooooong ago. Obama reached his plateau back in February. Who ever supported him then are still or not supporting him now. He reached his peak, with only one way to go....down. He will get NO new voters.
If nobody wanted the New kid on the block by then, they wont want him now.

Yet despite the fact that Obama desperately needs HS votes, he refuses to consider her for VP. Now, I'm not unhappy with that as many posters have pointed out on this thread, she would just be his fall guy, but what kind of temperament does this show?

I really dislike McCain's platform, but I kind of like the man himself. I dislike Obama on a personal level and cannot for the life of me figure out what he really believes. I like much of his platform on paper, but I don't trust him to implement anything. He just does not care about any issue enough to fight for it if it becomes politically expedient not to.

:thumbsup2 I agree with ALL of what you said 100% and I am in the same boat! Simply for Me, McCain is the less of the 2 evils. And at that there is a huge difference in trust. I dont see McCain as a Bush 3rd term, but I do see Obama as a Bush 3rd term. Obama has more in common with W then anyone is willing to admit. (that my way or the highway attitude, and I am always right demeaner). As far as issues, McCain is mor Democratic then BO!

If Obama looses in Nov, The DNC will blame The Clintons, their supporters and the Pundents who haven't jumped on the Obama "Sunshine" Wagon.:sad2: When its Donna Brazille & the DNC are to blame.

I am glad that the 'Legit" news is questioning that in a year, by all accounts, the Democrats should be running away with this race.....why isnt Obama doing better??????

Well it certainly doesn't make you democrats! I didn't say you were Republicans, I said you had officially joined the other side and were Obama bashers. You all have the same goal, NOT to elect Obama. My point of view about YOUR point of view has no where to go but 'black and white.' Ya know? Hey, carry on, you are in no way impacting me or my beliefs. I came to this thread to discuss the Clintons and found a thread that was about bashing Obama. Simple as that and very true. Shouldn't bother you that I pointed it out. For those few of you here who are not bashers-the exceptions-I hope you know to consider yourselves out of this discussion. I'm getting into this muck of negative posts so I've got to move forward. Like I said, carry on. I may be back from time to time in hopes you have put some positive bent to this thread. Your gal Hillary hasn't had any trouble going positive. Bill was even guarded but trying the other day. They are great folks!

Then why don't you? (discuss the Clintons) How many post have you written saying that you came to discuss the Clintons, but the only thing you do is bash us?

What were you coming to discuss about the Clintons? Why don't you start the "positive bent"? There hasn't been anything positive on you posts so far

That was a good article. Although, I give Obama more credit for pulling that whole racial thing off than the journalist is. Their blaming it a little on his campaign and primarily on his supporters. Obama is a very behind the scenes man because he doesn’t like to look negative to the public. He’s the man that goes to great lengths to set everything up so that he’ll never have to take the fall. (One of my primary reasons for why I don’t want Hillary running as his VP)

Doing research on Obama, I’m finding that everything to him is about race. That’s his outlook on life: he’s going through life expecting, therefore, looking for, hardships because of his skin color. Plus Axelrod has pulled off another election by pulling the race card (I’ll try to dig up some links in the next couple of days for this one – I don’t know all of the details of it yet myself.) It’s disgusting that this is what the primaries turned into (when it shouldn’t have been about race) and that’s what him and his campaign was trying to turn the general election to. What was it? Not even a week after Obama decided that he was the Democratic nominee that he began making public comments that alluded to the Republicans will be racists without out and out saying it?

Go McCain for finally putting his foot down and calling Obama on it. Of course Obama came back and was all like ‘I wasn’t talking about you’ when everyone knows he was. That’s why Obama will be vague about stuff like that so he can pull the innocent card when he’s called on it. I’m glad that it didn’t work out for him last week ¬– too many people were smart enough to see what exactly was going on.

I just feel bad for the Clintons. They’re good people who’ve done a lot of work for a lot of people – regardless of skin color. That picture in the article was taken in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina? I thought some of Obama’s vocal supporters were all after Hillary that the Clintons ‘didn’t do anything for the Katrina’ victims'?? The Clintons didn’t deserve the treatment they received during the primaries.

It pains me so to see Bill talking about NOT being a racist. Just pains me. This is a great man, the best president of my lifetime and it is so, so wrong that this is happening to him at this point in his life.

I just can't see my self getting past this aspect of the dirty tricks played by BO's campaign. I find the tarnishing by them of President Clinton shameful.

Latest Hillary News:

Clinton: I have ‘no inside information’ on VP process
Posted: 06:41 PM ET

From CNN's Jackie Castillo and Steve Brusk

Sen. Clinton will campaign for her former rival in two states this month, according to the Obama campaign.

(CNN) – Senator Hillary Clinton spent Thursday in New York on Senate business, but she couldn’t escape questions about the vice presidential search.

The prospect of Clinton joining the ticket remains the subject of much speculation, as even as some believe her odds of being chosen may have diminished in recent weeks. Reacting to reporters her name may not top Obama's VP list, Clinton told reporters “I’ve consistently said I’m very happy being a senator for New York. I love my work. I love representing the people of New York.”

“[T]his is a very personal decision for Senator Obama and I have no inside information as to how he is proceeding with his decision,” she added. “I'm out there supporting him, doing everything I can to make sure he gets elected and I will do same for whatever ticket there is.”

Asked if she would accept the job if it were offered to her, Clinton did not rule out the possibility. “I will do whatever I can or whatever I’m asked,” she said, “but I’m happy doing what I’m doing.”

Clinton was in Yonkers, New York for a family and caregivers event.

Hillary really has the right attitude in this. I admire her more now than I ever did before. :)

This is what PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVES me the most about the DNC.:furious: :furious:

Bill Clinton can & has been called many many mannnnnnny things in his life, but to even remotely allude that he is a racist is despicable on about 1000 levels.

Where are the DNC leaders backing the Man who put the DNC back on the map? The are so far up Obamas "pocket":rolleyes1 , they forgot who gave them all very nice careers!

The way the Party leaders pushed Bill over for Obama this election is out & out shameful. They want Loyality but refuse to give it!

She is thinkin 2012! (or possible next month):yay:

Lets never forget, when all is said & all is done....In the History of the USA, the most amount of popular votes received by anyone from any party in any Presidential Primary was Hillary Clinton.

Clinton - Obama Tension
(this is a video with a commercial at the beginning - sorry but I couldn't find it on you tube yet.) (Another aside - how much more in Obama's pocket is the MSM gonna get?)

Hillary is SO difficult isn't she? I mean, imagine asking to have her name called during the nomination process the same as every other nominee in previous conventions!

Seriously, why is she being labeled as difficult for this when it is not a historic precedent to "free your delegates"? None of these male nominees were labeled as difficult and some of them were only receiving ONE vote!

Honestly, though I know that sexism is playing a huge role in this - I think we can also throw in a heaping helping of egoism on Obama's part. I am sure he would rather a coronation instead of a real nomination where all voices were heard.

(sorry I got tired of looking up vote tallies so I only went back to 76.)

You think the DNC is pooping themselves after pushing Obama into the nominee spot and now he's stalling?

I hope Dean is pulling his hair out!

While I think there would be nothing better for the DNC and for the country than for Hillary Clinton to walk out of the convention the Dem nominee - I am sure there are back up plans to the back up plans to make sure that will never happen.

I agree. I don't see a way that they'll let Hillary walk out as the nominee.

Oh they're pooping alright, but they are blaming Hillary for their collective diarrhea. No way are they going to let her pull anything out at the convention.

About Obama's stall, however, we still have 100 days 'till the election and I have a feeling, he'll start going backwards in the polls quite soon now. This is more than a stall. This is a dead stop before you start sliding backwards down the mountain.

ETA: I just loved this article. It is worth a read. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/08/hillarys_growing_shadow.html

Havent you heard??? Do to the 'Divine Obama' and this "SPECIAL" Election, the DNC deems appropriate to throw out the rules and push Obama through!!!
:rolleyes1

I hope Dean is pulling his hair out!
As well as he should, the man is a complete disaster! Donna Brazille too!

But we can dream cant we??????:flower3:

SPOT ON!:thumbsup2

I guess that you guys heard about Hillary’s webcast today? I couldn’t go on but I was on another board and reading people’s frustration with it. People were trying to ask questions about what Hillary’s true feelings for Obama were, why exactly we should vote for him, hardcore questions about the DNC and the unfair treatment towards her, Obama’s fake birth certificate and all… none of those questions made it on the webcast. They were all moderated out.

The only questions that were posted were stuff that didn’t even remotely look negative towards Obama. People did say that they wanted her as VP and she would only say that it is Obama’s choice and his choice alone. She referred to him as President Obama at one point.

It’s really sad. The way he treated her and now she has to do all of this. Someone questioned why the webcast was so slow and why there weren’t very many posts. It had to be pointed out to the person that it was because the mod’s were taking out the majority of the questions. If ithe question reflected negatively at all about the DNC, the primary or Obama - it was not posted by the mod’s.

The Democratic Party has "buyers' remorse", it was so predictable. Hillary won't get the nomination but it would be in her best interest to orchestrate the failure of Obama's campaign. She can run again in four years....a lot easier to do than in 8 years and she will be a sympathetic figure, with democrats scratching their heads and saying, "how did we get duped by the messiah".

I don't think she's "orchestrating" anything. I do think her hands are tied and I do think she's honestly trying to do what's best for the party as a whole. Obama's creating his own failure without the help of anyone else.

It would be in her best interest to give Obama a "little shove". ;)
