I will admit abortion is not an important issue for me because even though I am a Dem, I do not really believe in abortion. Only in those certain cases do I think abortin is OK (rape, incest, mother's health) otherwise I do have issues with abortion.
But I find it so hard to believe legaly abortion would be so easily overturned as certain people like to make it sound.
But in any case the abortion guilt will not work on this Democrat puckerup: !

ITA!

As far as the war, yes that is a concern but we also have to withdraw the SMART way. The leader has think how/when to get us out of Iraq. It will not be easy and lives could be put at risk if we withdraw a sloppy way.
So although I know Obama has said he will withdraw troops, I feel is too inexperience and naive to be playing with war.
Yes it would be wonderful if we could just round up all the troops and bring them home....NO MATTER WHO IS PRESIDENT IT WILL NOT HAPPEN LIKE THAT!!!
Obama has even said he will keep some troops in Iraq to protect the Embassy. He also said if al Qaeda attempts to build a base within Iraq, he will keep troops in Iraq or elsewhere in the region to carry out targeted strikes on al Qaeda. Doesn't sound like totally ending the war, which people seem to believe. !

ITA! Obama couldnt even get up the nerve to get up & walk out of a Anti American church for 20 years, how the heck is he gonna organize a troop withdrawal?

He might as well promise everyone who votes for him the winning Powerball numbers.

If anyone think al Qaeda is in the past then they are truly more naive then even Obama. !

annnnnnnnd anudda ITA!:thumbsup2

So I will not vote for Obama because of the war (I don't think he can deal with it successfully), abortion (not a huge issue for me), economy (well Obama or McCain don't know much about it so what does it matter)?

Obama will not get my vote because of the man I have read about and heard speak. I don't like what I have read about him and what has come out of his mouth.

I have also decided I will make sure the people around me really know the kind of politician Obama is, not just how the media paints him!

4 for 4 ITA's!:cool1:

The whole DNC rules committe taking the 4 delegates from Hillary to give to Barack, proves to me , beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this primary has been fixed from the get go. Therefore IF I go vote on Nov 4, 2009 it will be for the nominee who won his primary fair & square....McCain. I may not agree with him on many issues, But I do trust him.

Just wait and see how it all plays out. It hopefully won't be as bad as it looks right now. Yes, Obama is going to be the nominee but that doesn't mean our girl has been kicked to the curb, at least not yet.

It is hard to swallow that the one nominee who (as of this writing) of all 3 finalist had the most popular votes, will not be in the final running.

That is politics!:headache:

If I was in Hillary's inner circle, I would tell her to tell the DNC to kiss my behind and run Independant! In a GE if they all get the same votes as they did in the Primary She wins!

A very sad, yet historical (since they keep mentioning this over & over & over on the news) day for the US!

Disunc thanks

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I had to hide in the bathroom to cry so no one would see me.

I thought I was prepared, but everything that happened is hitting me tonight.

Seeing the DNC and their shennigans, watching Howard Dean staying quiet for months, just to see him yesterday denounce the sexism that has ran rampant in this race. Having seen "journalists" I admire turn into nasty shrills....now I don't believe there's an honest/ethical one in the bunch. And I thought I was cynical before

So I'm sitting here listening to MSNBC and I'm trying hard not to throw crap at the TV.

They're saying that the deal that's being worked is that Hillary will be offered the VP but she'll have to refuse it, to make the people happy. This will not make me happy. I am not happy to see the person with the most votes is bowing out to let someone who makes my skin crawl be the nominee for the democratic party. I am not sure what I will do come November, chances are I will not vote for Obama, I will write someone else in. If I were in a state that required me to be registered with a party I would be a registered independent as of today. I'm so angry with the DNC - they've blown it this year. 2000 was a screw up, 2004 was a screw up, and they screwed it up before we even made it to November. Thanks but no. :furious:

I totally get what you are saying! The DNC has screwed up every election since Bill Clinton left the White House!

A part of me does not want Hillary as Obama's VP, because then he probably does have a good chance of becoming President and I just don't feel safe with him at the wheel. Although Hillary could (hopefully) keep him in check :)

if Clinton ran as an independant against Obama and McCain, she and Obama would split the votes of democrats, and McCain would beat them both....

I still predict
we will see President McCain in November and Hillary will be back in 2012 ::yes::

:thumbsup2 Thats the one bright spot.
When Obama looses in Nov...thats it for him, over & out. He will never run again.

NOW... if Hillary is the VP, then I could see Obama winning the Presidency but only if Hillary is on the ticket otherwise President McCain it will be
I still would NOT vote for Obama!:(

:confused3

I am just basing my theory on what each of them got in the Primaries. More Americans did vote for her than either Obama or McCain.

primary votes are one thing.... the general election is quite a different beast.... for example, Clinton beat Obama in Kentucky.... in the general election, there's slim-to-no chance the democratic candidate wins that state....

I think we all need one tonight :(

We just have to take a lesson from our favorite lady, Hillary Clinton, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, keep your chin up and keep looking ahead :thumbsup2

HILLAY CLINTON has NOTHING to be ashamed about She is a strong and smart lady. I am proud of her. Yes, she isn't perfect but she never claimed to be and us supporters never claimed she was. She is just a great politician who got screwed every turn she took.

:thumbsup2 Thats the one bright spot.

I still would NOT vote for Obama!:(

That is another reason why I don't want Hillary taking the VP spot.
If she does I will be torn on what to do, I support Hillary with everything I got, but I still don't want Obama us leader of America

it would be a VERY VERY VERY hard decision for me.

I still would NOT vote for Obama!:(

I am with you on this. He isn't qualified. I can't believe people are buying into all of his promises.

You know who really makes me angry, Campbell Brown. I just can't watch CNN anymore.

I'm really mad at the DNC too. How dare they think they can use the judgement of a few people to overrule the votes of 600,000. I feel like becoming a repulican.

Money is the problem DisUnc. Hillary is already broke and there's no way she could mount an independent candidacy. It does sound good though, doesn't it? :thumbsup2

Hillary is a very dedicated democrat. She would NEVER run against the party - especially, as she believes Obama is an "ok" choice.

They say she will work hard for the ticket - even if she's not chosen for VP.

I admire, respect and genuinely like her - but I don't think she'll be able to get me to vote for Obama without her on the ticket........

I won't be voting for McCain either!

Tonight I voted in our primary - and I chose to not vote for someone - even though he was my only choice in that position. He's not a nice man - and no way was he getting my vote.

So I've already had practice of "not voting" one of the choices........

I understand in full, and I agree! It really comes down to the 'swing" states in a GE.

besides, if she really wanted to spite the DNC and wanted a VP position, she could straddle the party lines and try to convince McCain to pick her as his VP.... that would stir up plenty for the media to talk about

I'll be saying the same thing (and in all capitals!) after the general election.

John Stewart tried to talk McCain into that on the Daily Show!!!!!:lmao:

At least McCain has treated her with respect.

Does anyone remember early in the campaign Hillary saying, she was ready from day 1, she also said McCain would be ready from day one, but not Obama.

 :faint:

That's true, he has. I heard his speech tonight and he was extremely kind and respectful to her, which is something Obama and is supporters could and should listen and learn from.
