What makes me mad is the inference I see lately that Hillary isn't anyone and shouldn't have run because she's just riding on Bill's coat tails. I never thought of it like that at all! I always saw two intelligent people who both hoped to be in public office and Bill just happened to go first.
Hillary can't catch a break with some people.![]()
Oh, he'll win it all right. It probably won't be today (unless Hillary concedes tonight as is being reported), but it will be by the end of the week when the Supers need to make their choices. If Obama can not win this today how will he ever win in Nov? Has this ever happend before?
Because it's the media. They want Obama, not Hillary. Twisting Bill Clinton's words serves their purpose.

How will Obama win? With the help of the 17-million Hillary voters. I know that some of you say that you will not support him against McCain and that makes me really sad because first of all ... I'll miss youand secondly ... the country really does need a Democrat in office. The stakes are simply too high to not wear a clothespin into the voting booth and vote Blue.

From your mouth to Barack's ear.Call me crazy, but I still see him taking her as his running mate.
ThanksI just wanted to say that the stakes are too high, and I agree, we very, much need a Democrat in office. We've had 8 years of a Republican. We can't afford 12 years of their "leadership".![]()
Also, Is it OK if I leave a couple of sincere hugs for my friends on this board who are going through a painful time now?![]()

I'd say because Hillary is a tougher opponent than John McCain could ever dream of being. In losing, the most important thing Clinton has done for her party is that she whipped the young senator from Illinois into shape and got him ready for the big dance. Regardless of the complaining from many of his supporters, including yours truly, he never once asked her to get out of the race. Call me crazy, but I still see him taking her as his running mate.
But the difference is that caucases put Obama where he is. GE are run completely different, without all the advantages cacuses gave him.

OMG. I cannot tell you the image that came to my mind when I read this ... it is NOT family friendlySqueeze that Maverick blow up doll to your hearts content
Squeeze that Maverick blow up doll to your hearts content, but come November, ol' Johnny boy will be an employee of the Phoenix based Coppertone sunscreen lobby...
Brilliant, sensible reply which adds so much to the discussion
Something else my mom told me about this and the speculation that she was conceding tonight. The real purpose is to have people believe it so they won't bother to vote for her today.
Yes, the good ol' dishonest media spreading "rumors" to help BO win today.

While I agree that the rumor was probably leaked by someone to prevent people from voting for Hillary, I don't blame the media entirely. It must have come from a "reliable source" and I would be curious to know who that was.Something else my mom told me about this and the speculation that she was conceding tonight. This is going to be a problem for the Dems come November.

Good morning!
I had to share this smiley I found.
Does it remind you of anyone?

I'm feeling ornery this morning!

I also believe that to be true. Some people may change their vote last minute if they believe that it's not going to count as she's dropping out of the race today.
Ickes has now said that the news stories are not true and that she's still in the race.
