Hillary Supporters unite part 2; no bashing please

I don't think Richardson would be a good choice. There's other stronger VP possibilities out there. He doesn't have to pick Hillary and I don't think I would want him to. I don't think either would like being 2nd string to the other. That's a blow. I think he or she could do much better as a senator.

I don't agree with a few things about Pelosi. She's a little too left and extreme for me. I think Pelosi should stay out of the Super delegate decisions and let them vote how they want to. That's the only part of the recent news I'm going to comment on...the rest is...

I also agreed with Terry McAuliffe who said we should just let this thing ride out through June 3rd and then let the super delegates vote. It doesn't sound like they would let this thing ride to the convention.

I'm sure the board will be much nicer when I'm gone for a week. I'll check back in later in the day, but I have to go pack the kids stuff and wash anything that's needed.

I have not been impressed with Pelosi either. I had high hopes for but it does not seem like she has done much.

She did a TV commercial with Newt Gingrich about saving the Enviornment!

See, there's something positive! The commercial is a little scarey looking with the pauses when they look at eachother. Actually, creepy is more like it.:scared:

o.k., now I have to bring my DD5 to the bus stop. I gotta stop checking in.

Aint that the TRUTH!:scared1: All they would need is the

Oh my goodness! I agree with an Obama supporter! Who would have thunk?! ;)

Of course, said completely in jest - as I think we all forget how much we have it common......... :)

I lost respect for Richardson in how he handled his Obama endorsement.

I disagree with the 2nd string comment. This is more than just who's more popular - this about our country darn it! And I want the best people leading and FIXING it. If Clinton is the best #2 - I want her to be on the ticket. If Obama is the best for the country - then I want him as VP.

I think "we supporters" take this all so much more personally than the pols do.

Perhaps I'm naive - but I think they'll pick the best person for the #2, both in governing and electability.

Of course, I hope it is Hillary!!! Can't be first woman Pres? I'll take first woman VP!!!!!

We do have a lot in common. I've said before, and I'll say again, I worry every day about our troops and Iraq. There is no personality issue with either Clinton or Obama that trumps that issue with me. Whoever the Democratic nominee is, I will support. We desperately need someone in office that is free to work on this issue without justifying the invasion decision made by Pres Bush. Iraq is a mess, and all the Republican optimism in the world isn't going to force the warring factions there to be remotely reasonable with one another.
One month it's better, one it's worse, but overall, the casualty visits go on every week. My thoughts and prayers are with our troops and their families. I can't worry about Bill or pastors or anything else that sometimes divides the democrats when I remember there are brave families that will never see their son or daughter again. McCain really has no choice but to tow the Bush line. This is absolutely not acceptable to me.

I am sure John McCain and his family appreciate your prayers as does the other family member’s of our brave armed forces.

God bless our BRAVE troops.

God bless America.

you tell us he was your original candidate :rotfl2:

Check out this interesting PowerPoint developed by the Clinton campaign.

Tell me - how is Obama going to convince those voters to go his way?

Democratic die-hards will - but what about those on the fringes?

Even with all that Obama will still IMO get the nomination. I cant see how they can take it away from him even with all the statistics of needing theses to win. The SD will have no choice to pray that there decision to give it to Obama will still come into a victory for the DEMS.

she is more electable when you look at what the demographics are. He has won more states that will go red a couple that will stay blue....she has won the wons that will go blue. She has more electoral votes. The SD will have a riot on there hands and if it was the other way around than I would get upset also.

He will have to be stricken with a doozy of a scandal before they turn tides....I dont think that is going to happen because I am sure that if there was more it would have been brought out. His best bet is to take her as his VP just as if she gets the nom that she take him.

Hopefully if she does not get the nom we will see her back again in 4 years.
At least she is still on the Senate:thumbsup2

And he's going to claim victory on May 20th if she gets out or not. Should be interesting. That's a great way to win over her supporters.

Yep, it seemed that you were right. I noticed that thread eventually turned around on Hillary. Amazing how that happens.

How does the party on the DIS come together after all that has been said on both sides?

Just thinking...out loud.

Well personally I don't think we will. Neither on the board or on the party in general. I think there's too much water under the bridge. And the situation isn't going to go away even when the nom is settled.

That's a great powerpoint thanks! It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the GE

Sadly I think that Got Disney is right and Obama will probably be given the nom. But I don't think this will end well. I truly don't think that Obama's support is broad enough or in the right places to win.

Reading the Obama thread dont think ya need to worry about anyone coming together if Hillary gets the nom or becomes VP:rotfl2: They want nothing at all to do with her because they feel she is a lyer a cheat and that she steals money from donations to pocket herself. She is a vulgar person to most over there. Yet for some reason many of them seem to think that it is Hillary tearing the party apart and that if all us Hillary supporters and Hillary would see the light(not meant in the koolaid way) than she would drop out and we would hop on board and the world would be a much happier place.....Like Disneyland:upsidedow

every post to every other post on that thread is an insult about Hillary...I dont mean things like she is unelectable or that she is a bad candidate things like that but mean nasty things that you would not say about people unless they were vial. We say things about Obama but not like he is stupid and stuff like that.

anyway...its there opinions of Hillary and that is fine.:rotfl2: I was just making a point that dont see the supporters coming together that easy. Funny how they also state that its Hillary's voters that will not vote for him...well almost the same percentage said that they would not vote for her.

Just for the record, I'd be more than happy to have Clinton as VP should that come to pass. :goodvibes
I will be extremely disappointed if the Dems can't come together and McCain slides into office to further the "accomplishments" of George Bush. :rolleyes1

Me too. As are several us of frequent OC thread posters.

The hilarious part is that those of us who don't want to vote for Obama are "toxic" But the OS who claim they won't vote for Hillary are doing it because they've got "principles" The level of hypocrisy is ridiculous.

That's why I don't think things are ever going to be repaired between the groups. There are some OS who feel like they don't need the Hillary supporters. They have no interest in healing the divide. Particularly since they see themselves as complete victims and that it's 100% Hillary supporters causing all the problems.
