GotDisney!! We need a new thread! Thanks to the OS support we've had on here today we're hitting the 250 page limit!

Hillary was always open about her willingness of a combined ticket, so she had already said yes.

Had she declined, Obama's campaigh would be screamin it from the rooftops in order to appease her supporters.

She just was never considered

No she did not say yes. Saying she would be willing for the ticket may have just been like her saying she supports Obama (which many of you don't think she really means either).

How about "pajamasmedia.com"? :lmao:

You know, I didn't know of its existence until I saw that article posted but despite it's crazy name I've found that it's actually a well respected website.

So, tell me HS -- If McCain wins (and I think he's is going to) do you really think the Republicans will let Hillary steal the White House from them in 4 years and let the Dems get the first non male in the white house? I think they are planning on retiring McCain in 4 years and beating the Dems to the first woman pres.

If she decided to run against Hillary in 4 years she would not have a chance. 4 years against Hillary a politician does not make.

We will see..and I'll be sad when Hillary loses because she is a Dem, but will have some schadenfrued over the HS having helped put the final nail in the Hillary for President coffin.

You sure have no faith in Hillary or her 18 million supporters do you.

The majority of people left on this thread care only about Obama losing.

That is not true. I for one am still waiting for him to win me over. But it seems I am waiting and waiting. This election I have turned into an independent so I could turn either way. And just to let you know MccAins VP pick has done nothing to move me over to him.

don't you think IF Obama did want Hillary on the ticket and she said No, he would not make that known to everyone.
He would be able to say to the HS "Hey I asked her to be my VP, she turned it down, what more can I do?"

Being he isn't saying that leads me to believe he NEVER wanted her on the ticket with him, period, even if that means he loses the election, JMO

If Hillary said no we would have known it....that would have leaked out....Obama would have made sure of it and that it it did not come from his campain

No he never did because she was never vetted

By the way I want to add that the REP are in a WOW factor over this and he has brought many Conservatives that would not vote for him back to the base. I think he did it for the REP and not so much the HS or Indep. But hoping for a plus that some would come his way because of it.

Wow that was quick!
I am heading off the computer for the night. It's been a fun filled day ;)
Hopefully I can find you all tomorrow.

:hippie:

Yeah, he did. I've seen a clip of it and in my opinion it was worse than what Hillary said about Obama.

Biden had both attacked Obama and praised JMC

Plus made other nasty, repugnant comments.

That argument doesn't fly

Most of them are extremely excited over his choice and it's brought a lot of new people to their thread. I don't think it was done for the HS, although he wants our votes, I think he did it for his party.

Oh come on -- there is nothing Obama can do or say to make you vote for him and you know it. On the other hand McCain could fart on live tv and you would be :cloud9: "I'm so amazed MCain could fart -- now I really have to vote for him."

I am curious what exactly does he have to do? His platform is out there.....
the difference between him and Mccain is clear.....even more so now that mccain has such an extreme right wing VP choice.... the anti- hillary.( I shudder to think what her supreme court choices would be if she was in the Pres. postition)
what does obama have to do??

No she did not say yes. Saying she would be willing for the ticket may have just been like her saying she supports Obama (which many of you don't think she really means either).

WHAT??? after all she's done you still doubt her commitment? I can't believe it
:sad2:

We don't believe she's happy about the way things ended, and having to work to get him elected, but after last week, there's no doubt in my mind that she's done everything she can humanly do to get him elected.

This is unbelievable!

And she DID say more than once she was open to a combined ticket. That's like saying yes.

Please. Do you honestly believe that he asked her and she said no? OS keep saying that, but I'm sure they don't think she was asked

Do you believe she was asked and she said no?

They're never going to believe in anything but bad about her just like they never would have voted for her had she won the primary. It's easy for them to pop in over here and harass those of us refusing to jump on the Obama love train because their candidate won the primary. But the way they continue to treat Hillary - even after she's done everything the DNC has asked of her, even after she's thrown her full support behind Obama, show that they don't like her or respect her. They never will.

Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't Biden had some remarks about Obama's inexperience in the past? I am asking this seriously, because I thought I read something about that. If so then that agruement doesn't work because the McCain camp can use Biden's comment for their commericals.

No doubt everyone who campaigned about Obama used that ploy at some point. But Biden was not in an unprecedently high profile campaign as was Hillary/Obama. Biden dropped out before anyone knew he was running. It was always Hillarys race and I was for her. But she lost ( In my estimation, only because she initially underestimated him. Otherwise she would have won) . But it was clear she was going to lose for some time. And thats where she blew her VP chance.

If I haven't made it clear already....I was a big Hillary supporter.

But in reading this thread it's you in particular who keeps bringing up all these God awful things Obama did. How he's so corrupt. How he stole the election. Yet surprisingly, the republicans, or even Hillary , have decided not to use this information you have. I find this oh, so odd.

Share it with the press.

Again. I am/was a Hillary supporter. I still and always will admire her. She would be a great President. But she LOST. And she's not the VP choice because she dug her own grave.

And now..many people who were convinced that Hillary would be that great president that I agree she would be......proclaim that they will vote 180 degrees agains the very platform she has run on.......and against her own advice and counsel.
Some are even more convinced since a woman , 180 degrees against everything Hillary fought for, has been placed on the republican ticket.

I donated a fair chunk of change to Hillarys campaign. She lost. I'm not going to take my ball and go home. I'm going to honor her the best way I can and vote for the nearly same platform she ran on. I'm going to vote for the ticket that represents what SHE believes in. I'm going to vote in the manner that she quite clearly has asked us to.

I doubt that she wanted the VP position. I don't doubt she is supporting Obama. But Disunc and Punkin at least have made it clear they think Hillary is lying or being insincere when she says she supports Obama and I didn't think see you getting upset about that.

WHEW!!!!! Bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzze day on this thread today!:thumbsup2 I plodding thru now.

Well... there's a couple of us on here that will be voting for Obama and I want them to continue to feel welcome in this thread.

Then again... there's a few people I wouldn't mind keeping out of this thread and maybe one of your little thread titles would dissway them from posting on here....

Eh, probably not.

:thumbsup2 And the y were my "DIS" appropriate ones!:rolleyes1
:lmao:

Also on Obama's speach. I wasn't feeling the love. All his promises, how on earth does he really expect to follow thru? I'm surprised he didn't promise to part the sea too. I turned the TV off before he had his final words, I heard enough. I really have to wonder if Obama will result in higher taxes and more welfare type programs. .

I am no econimist, but I can proudly say that in all these years, my checkbook has ALWAYS balanced! Except once, and that was the bank who messed up...REALLY! Anyhooooooo as Judge Judy says, IF IT DONT MAKE SENSE THEN IT AINT TRUE!!!! :thumbsup2

Am I the ONLY one that both Obama & W both make the same face when they "act' stern. Both purse their lips as if they just sucked a lime. I call it the "Pickle Puss" look! What is odd is that many of the Nuns I had teaching me, had the same look!

Did anyone see the clips of Oprah this morning? She cryed her fake eyelashes off during Obama's speach last night. She must have drank a lot of koolaid before the speech.
Sadly not only did Oprah KNOW what her reaction would be BEFORE the speech, I knew what Oprahs & most OS'ers reaction would be BEFORE Obama even talked. I mean CNN kept on reporting (like with every other speech BO gave) how HISTOICAL it is. The media has sort of over used the "Historical" word.

:confused3

I'm not on the Obama Train, but I am holding my nose to vote for him to protect the Supreme Court. I don't like him personally at all. One of the planks of the Republican Platform is to make all abortion choices illegal, period. And with a Supreme Court majority, they could make that, and a lot of other rights we take for granted, disappear. Remember, several Liberal judges are elderly and in poor health. It is doubtful they could hold out another 4 years.:

I posted way too many times.....but once more,The Supreme Court is a Senate thing. The Senators must approve. In fact....the reason why Clarence Thomas made it through is because BIDEN SCREWED UP! Go google!

IMO, The whole Supreme court debate in a presidential race is ridiculous! Has as much depth as them discussing State lotteries.

:I see McCain has named a woman VP, no doubt trying to get Hillary supporters to vote for a female VP. Someone needs to tell him that we supported Hillary not because she was a woman, but because she was, in our opinion, the best candidate. Palin is ultra-conservative, the exact opposite of Hillary on the issues that matter.
I still look at Obama and McCain and wonder what the power-holders in the respective parties were thinking by nominating these two.

I dont think Hillary was just a "issue" thing. There were many woman who wanted her because she was a woman, and luckily she was a Great & Smart woman. But many woman did support HC because she was a woman, as do many Blacks support Obama. The DNC has totally underestimated the woman of their party.

All politics aside.... Obama is a Black MAN who choose to have a white MAN as a VP. McCain is a MAN who choose a WOMAN...THAT IS THE REAL CHANGE!

I think Sexism in the USA is much more tolerable then Racism, but much more powerful.

But when it comes to stem cell research McCain and Obama have the EXACT opinions on that issue.

I was for Hillary UHC, McCain's health care reform is a joke (I will admit that) but Obama's is a joke also. Just making sure children are covered is NOT going to solve the health care crisis in our Country. We need total health care where EVERYONE, not just kids, can get afforable health care.
There are just way too many flaws in Obama's plan to make me support his health care reform and IMO health care will not be any different in 4 years then it is right now.

Hillarys UHC was one of the most BRILLIANT plans I have ever seen from any politian EVER! Really, it was knock your socks off BRILLIANT!

Obamas might as well be written on a cocktail napkin. It will actually cause more problems then solve. McCain's HC plan, wont help , but wont hurt either.

I haven't read the latest posts yet, and I don't know if this has been posted but guys, I just have to come and say this now

Today, after finding out about McCains VP choice, I'm more upset, more angry than ever at BO for not picking Hillary.

BIG mistake, BO. BIG mistake

So far both candidates have been put through the "REALITY" test twice. The Georgia/Russia crisis and the VP choice. Obama failed miserable on both counts. McCain has come up smelling like a rose on both concerns.

I was not a hillary supporter....

but I think she did a fantastic job at the convention and I respect her for putting her dissapointment aside and standing by her convictions......and continuing to speak up for and work towards what is good for our country!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

unlike some of her supporters...........:sad2:

Oh come on -- there is nothing Obama can do or say to make you vote for him and you know it. On the other hand McCain could fart on live tv and you would be :cloud9: "I'm so amazed MCain could fart -- now I really have to vote for him."

That is so not true. I an 50/50.....Do I agree with all of McCain...nope...nor do I agree with all Obama has to offer. But when it comes to protecting us and experiance I lean towards McCain...When it comes to the Dem side of me I lean to Obama.

I am curious what exactly does he have to do? His platform is out there.....

what does obama have to do??

I feel that MCcain can do what he says ...I feel Obama cant. I also still question his judgement and his past. There are pros and cons to both Candidates for me at this time. When McCain talks I feel his commitment...when Obama talks I just here him talking to get elected. Can't help it it is just how i feel.

Hillary Clinton is laughing her butt off at Obama right now. She told everyone he won't be elected. The Clinton's know their politics....probably better than anybody. She wants to be President in four years. She won't be able to run if Obama wins. She did only as much as she had to.

You are not 50/50. You have never said one good thing about Obama and you frequently join in on the bashing of Obama on the Con thread and others.
