Please post or send me said scary links.

If you really want to know, just look back on this thread.
Many posters have posted links about Obama and his politics.
All you have to do is a little research

Reaffirming the previous statement that I’ve made on here and on DISUNC’s current heated thread (when aren’t his threads heated?? :lmao: )

A lot of people don’t understand the definition of racism. I have learned from this election that they think that any criticism against a person of color is racism. So now, according to CNN’s Gloria Berger and Roland Martin, we people of non-color have another word that will (falsely) be considered a racial slur if we dare to utter it:

Uppity

Yes people, uppity is now to be considered a racial slur.

up•pity (-ə tē)
adjective

[INFORMAL] inclined to be haughty, arrogant, snobbish, etc.

rac•ism (rā′siz′əm)
noun

1. belief in or doctrine asserting racial differences in character, intelligence, etc. and the superiority of one race over another or others: racist doctrine also, typically, seeks to maintain the supposed purity of a race or the races

2. any program or practice of racial discrimination, segregation, etc., specif., such a program or practice that upholds the political or economic domination of one race over another or others

3. feelings or actions of hatred and bigotry toward a person or persons because of their race

I would like for someone to explain to me how the word uppity fits into the definition of racism. Uppity is a word used to describe a person’s character, it is not defined by one’s race. Anyone can be uppity - regardless of their race. It's not a character trait commonly associated with and to slander one specific racial group.

This is becoming utterly ridiculous and it's a distraction from the real issues of this election… or Obama’s lack of real issues in this election that he doesn’t want his supporters paying attention to. But, I believe that to be the entire point of the race-baiting from the Obama camp. It worked quite well for Obama against Hillary when she was falsely accused of it (sadly, something that so many people still believe to be true) that it created a lot of emotional responses in the voters and the focus was taken away from the real issues going on in the election. Point to Obama for underhanded political tactics. So now he’s trying it again to score another point.

Hello all! It has been quite some time since I have been around. I even missed out on finding out about DisUnc's travels to WDW! (Which stinks cause I live down here and would have LOVED to meet him!)

Anyway - I just had to take a long step back and away from message boards. It never ceases to amaze me how seriously some people take this and how willing they are to go personal over it. People can be so nasty.

I have been doing some work down here in FL for Vote No on Amendment 2 (http://www.fairnessforallfamilies.org/). I cannot believe that it is the now almost a decade into the new millennium and we are still dealing with this kind of stuff.

Did any of you see that article about Obama's family village back in Africa? I am sure you all have seen this but just in case : Barack Obama's broken promise to African Village Gee - I hope that isn't the kind of hope and change we will get here in the US! For me - that represents EXACTLY why I will not be voting for the man in November. (And WHY is this not being reported? Oh yeah - he is the Media Messiah)

In any case - hello again!

People must be blind to not believe that race is a factor in this election. I can't count how many times I have heard "Oh I'm not racist, but...." in regards to Obama. Saddening.

As in...I am not racist but I will not be voting for BO because I think he will not only NOT accomplish anything that he is promising but very well may make things worse?

Like that?

The fact of the matter is that if you need to add "I'm not racist, but" to your statement it pretty much means that you are. *BTW I wasn't implying that any of you are.* Anywho have fun voting for a man who thinks it's ok to refer to his wife as a "C".

Unfortunately there have been so many accusations of racism that many are having to defend themselves who have never had to do so before. Especially when all it takes to be labeled so is to be against an Obama presidency. Hmm.

In any case, I will enjoy casting my vote for the Green Party candidate this election. It will be the first time I have voted for a 3rd party candidate and not a Democrat.

That's why America is so great. We actually have a choice on who to vote for, and I certainly don't begrudge anyone for doing so. :thumbsup2

Sure you do - otherwise you would not be on this thread. But then - that is another great thing about this country - freedom of speech!:woohoo:

I read this thread to read other opinions. You're saying that I'm hating on you all for not supporting Obama? What is w/ your spiteful overtones anyways. Have I done something towards you personaly?

I am not spiteful at all. Just matter of fact. My apologies if it comes across too harsh for you.

Wow - you are reading WAY too much into what I am saying. I am not baiting at all. Seriously - what is it that you think I am baiting you into?:confused3

Where you there? Did you hear that? Was that on the same website that talks about Michelle Obamas Kill Whitey video?

That story like Michelle video is nothing more than rumors.

Do you have any links to people on the DIS saying "I'm not a racist, but..."?

I totally agree with you, btw. I think the same logic apply to people who protest about being called koolaid drinkers. I mean why protest if you're not one. Obviously it doesn't apply to you, right?

I wasn't referring to anyone on the Dis. I've just heard it a lot from where I'm from.

Oh and I LOVE Kool-Aid, especially the cherry flavor! :yay:

... ok... didn't I have a post that should be in the middle of all this 'People must be blind not to believe...' ' I'm not ...' 'Michelle whitey video...' stuff welcoming MyManGoofy back, commenting that I have read about Obama's families’ village and you can find other broken Obama promises in Chicago? :confused3

While there may already be those on this message board that would freely refer to me as insane, I just want to check that I’m not actually…..

I did see it for a sec, but the site is acting glitchy today for me.

OK, Thanks. Glad to know that I didn't imagine myself posting things earlier. There wasn't anything in that post that should have caused a Mod to yank it so I'll go with your 'glitchy' thing.
