Hillary Supporters unite part 2; no bashing please

people with a lot more invested in the Democratic Party than you or I are very comfortable with Obama on these issues. So I have peace of mind.
Many in politics make choices that will look good on their record. Many others support Obama just to unite the party. I have to trust my own judgement.

I see it as they "HOPE" this presidental nominee wil not destroy it.

For many it is more than hope. They have worked with him in the Senate, and they knew him as an Illinois legislator even before he joined the Senate.

My goodness, I have respect for the party leadership. I certainly trust their judgment, delegates and super delegates alike. I may not always agree with them, but I respect them, and their choice.

The only other option will be 12 years of reps.
Watched the presidential speech portion of Letterman lately??? Perish the thought of another rep who follows in Bush's footsteps. He can't solidify the very large numbers of reps in the hard right of the party by being middler of the roader. He'll have to be Bush Jr. to get their support.

Just a rumor I heard on the TV. It seems that McCain is leaning toward Charlie Crist for VP. I don't know much about him, don't know if that's good or bad, but someone had mentioned his VP choice was important so I just thought I'd pass it on.

He has quite the tan. If he's not picked up for VP he can always do Coppertone ads on the side. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Because there is probably nothing there. The leaders of the Democratic party have been checking, and the superdelegates would have voted differently if they saw anything scary.
Yeah...this Phelger stuff came out of nowhere. Oh, sure Axelrod is on the board at St. Sebina and Pheleger has called for gun shop owners to be 'snuffed out' before, but nobody could have seen this coming from him! He's usually so mild mannored. Unless you happen to be from Chicago and pick up the paper every once in a while.

I have seen his picture now so..:rotfl:

No disrespect intended toward the guy, but she's right he IS tan!

I don't care for him either. He is way too arrogant.

Maybe that's why he loves Obama so much. Two peas in a pod

I know they will pick apart Hillary's speech when she gives it and I don't think I want to hear it.

I am just stunned at some OS being such sore winners. All because she didn't prostrate herself at his feet Tuesday night!

It's shocking.

Mary

They don't realize Obama barely crossed the finish line. They act like he won by a landslide, when nothing could be further from the truth.

They keep trashing Hillary because she's not acting exactly like they want, and they they demand "unity". It's becoming clear to me that to OS "Unity" means that we jump to their side and start spitting on her.

Sorry, it's not going to happen

Welcome to the Boards & this thread!

This is your opinon not fact! Not matter how it is counted SHE did get more people to vote for her this Primary then he did.

Right! That post proves my point that they are acting like he won by a landslide! He did not He limped accros with the help of the DNC

From a vast right-wing conspiracy to a vast left-wing conspiracy. Do you really believe that all of those mainstream Democrats in charge of the party have been fooled by Obama for all these years? They are comfortable with Obama, so that should alleviate our concerns about hidden NOIs, anti-Americanism, etc.

They want what is best for the Democratic party -- not a presidential nominee who will destroy it!

Those mainstreem democrats are behind Obama because they see him as their Bush. They beleive they will be the power behind the "hope and change"
facade

I don't see anyone acting like that - I guess it's in the eyes of the beholder. BTW, how do you accurately count the caucus states that did not release popular votes?

IMHO, it won't happen. Crist has been accused of being more left-leaning than McCain ever has. He has a lot of Republicans fairly ticked off over some of his decisions. Never mind the rumors that have floated around about him being gay due to his single status (for the record, I don't believe he is). If McCain is wanting to attract the rest of the Rep. party, he's going to need a VP more along the lines of Huckabee.

And yes, Crist is pretty darn tan. :rotfl:

They did this big article in the Sun Sentinal about the "arm candy" he is seen with. Some beautiful younger professional woman.

Well, to me, comments like this makes the case that they act like he won by a landslide

Unfortunately for Hillary, Obama did, or does, come off as more personable and friendly to the majority of people. Things she did and said in this contest also reinforced apprehensions people have about her. That didn't help.

Ahhhh brings back memories of childhood that coopertone does :lmao: Will be curious to who he picks....some say it looks more and more like Romney:confused3 he does have great hair! I will be watching closely both the candidates....either way want to know what will be getting.

Yeah but you know McCain, he'll do what he wants anyway. He always does.

Huckabee seems so dull...lol!

I am just amazed that super delegates continued to support Obama even though Hillary won the popular vote. The votes didn't seem to matter.
It just doesn't seem fair. How can I trust their judgement and blindly support their choice when they used poor judgement in the first place?
