yes but if you were FAR FAR LEFT like Obama and most of his supporters you could not even think of McCain that way...you would die first before ever voting for a vial Conservative....:rotfl2:
OIY! Funny but the GOP dont think McCain is conservative enough!

Oh yeah 1 more thing!

The DNC rules committie peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeved me so much with their stealing votes from Clinton to Obama, a huge part of my McCain vote is also retaliation.

Is that they right thing to do......probably not.
Is that the mature thing to do.....definately not.

BUT I know it will give me some sense of satisfaction doing it. Sick I know...but i will feel good.

My 2 BIG issues are end this flippen war & NHC.

Obama WILL NOT end this war.
Obama NHC is not only NOT Doable...its a monstrosity of EPIC screwups.

Soooooooo add in what I think about BO, why would I vote for him????
Basically, McCain is the less of the 2 evils for me.

Of course not - but have you SEEN the entire title of this thread? "Hillary Supporters unite part 2; no bashing please ".

That request applies to both the HSs here, and to the Senator (and by extension, her family).

Thank you JARNJ3 for posting that article.
This should be must reading for all of us.

The article sums up exactly how I feel.
I have a 19 year old daughter voting in her first election. She is a big Obama fan. (atleast it's a Democrat, thank God). She tells me to get with the times that Hillary is old-fashioned and Obama is going to make changes as President. When I ask her what changes, I get the blank stare and "I don't know" I think she looks at Senator Obama as the cool new rock star and a touch of being a frontrunner.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm tired of being treated like an idiot because of my choice. If Obama should lose the general, you know all hands will be pointing at Hillary Clinton and her supporters instead of looking at themselves and the way SOME of them have treated us.

Of course because it can never be because of Obama. He is never the cause of any issues :rolleyes1
every thing bad that happens to him will be Hillary's fault.

It's probably Hillary's fault that Obama stayed a member of his church for 20 years with that hateful Rev. "preaching" Somehow it is just Hillary's fault, you know

I think you are right on with the younger adult crowd with looking at Obama as a "rock star". I think a good many of them really don't know what he plans on changing or really anything about him, but it is the "craze" so they hop on the bandwagon.

The only thing is crazes come and go, Obama is the "in" thing right now. We will see how long before he is "out"

One of them just got busted today. Rezko is now a convicted felon-guilty on 16 of 24 counts.

Both our Governer (Blagojevich) and Senator (Obama) are shocked!

http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/rezko/984453,rezkoverdict060408.article
"This isn't the Tony Rezko I knew, but now he has been convicted by a jury on multiple charges that once again shine a spotlight on the need for reform," Obama said. "I encourage the General Assembly to take whatever steps are necessary to prevent these kinds of abuses in the future."

Another guy he's known for like 20 years (I mean not casual aquaintences...they purchased those properties next door to each other and all) that he didn't REALLY know.

Why am I not surprised this isn't the Tony Rezko he never knew???? I don't know if I should be :lmao: or  OK, I am both!

Is America really that blind, this is now ANOTHER person poor Obama didn't really know. YEAH RIGHT!!!! :rolleyes1

The guy is gets more sleazier every day. I just hope the GOP does their work and has a field day with all of Obama's past dealings!

It is very common, and unfortunately acceptable in this country for Men to hate Smart & Powerful woman who refuse to put up with anybodies BS!

Tough women like this are known for getting things done. Many Hillary haters dispised her for being ruthless. She is just a strong women who will fight for want she wants and what she thinks is right. Many major successful companies have women CEO's. A strong woman is not a bad thing.

I, for one, plan on writing the media and complaining. Cnn's Jack Lafferty & Campbell Brown(just to name a few) should be ashamed of themselves. Not to mention Tim Russert and other NBC ancors mentioning things like how Hillary sounds like a nasty ex-wife. I lost all respect for most of the media.

Fox covered Resko quite a bit. However, other news media outlets had very little on Resko and even down played his connection to Obama.

But as long as doubt about Obama's honesty is in the public, he will not win the general election.

This is an article from my local news station. I thought it was interesting. I guess I always thought of Minnesota has a very solid blue state. By the sounds of this it looks like Minnesota could go Red in Minnesota. If it does that would really be something! Hasn't gone Red since 1972!
Looks like my vote might really be important after all ;)

Here's the article

Reality Check: Minnesota's Role In 2008 Election

Reporting Pat Kessler (WCCO) Barack Obama's visit to the Xcel Energy Center to claim the Democratic nomination was no accident. It was a challenge to Republicans trying to claim Minnesota in the presidential "win" column this year. So is Minnesota becoming a Republican state even possible?

Minnesota hasn't voted Republican since Richard Nixon in 1972, but again this year, Republicans say Minnesota's in play.

It's TRUE.

Even though, Minnesota appears to be a solidly Democratic blue state Republicans will hold their national convention in St. Paul this summer.

And the state's an important enough prize for Obama to claim the Democratic nomination in the same arena.

IN FACT....

Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa are all considered swing states that could go to any party. And together, they are a powerful Midwest block of electoral votes with 27. That's as many as some of the biggest states in the country.

But that's NOT THE WHOLE STORY.

Minnesota's also "in play" because Governor Tim Pawlenty is one of the few Republicans to survive a nationwide political massacre in 2006. And Minnesota hasn't elected a Democrat governor for 20 years.

Here is what you NEED TO KNOW.

Based on polling, Wisconsin and Iowa are considered possible wins for McCain while Obama's got a strong 11-point lead in Minnesota.

However, that could change if Pawlenty is McCain's running mate.

That's Reality Check.

Hillary's E-mail letter to her supporters: Sorry if already posted..

I wanted you to be one of the first to know: on Saturday, I will hold an event in Washington D.C. to thank everyone who has supported my campaign. Over the course of the last 16 months, I have been privileged and touched to witness the incredible dedication and sacrifice of so many people working for our campaign. Every minute you put into helping us win, every dollar you gave to keep up the fight meant more to me than I can ever possibly tell you.

On Saturday, I will extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy. This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans.

I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party's nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise.

When I decided to run for president, I knew exactly why I was getting into this race: to work hard every day for the millions of Americans who need a voice in the White House.

I made you -- and everyone who supported me -- a promise: to stand up for our shared values and to never back down. I'm going to keep that promise today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life.

I will be speaking on Saturday about how together we can rally the party behind Senator Obama. The stakes are too high and the task before us too important to do otherwise.

I know as I continue my lifelong work for a stronger America and a better world, I will turn to you for the support, the strength, and the commitment that you have shown me in the past 16 months. And I will always keep faith with the issues and causes that are important to you.

In the past few days, you have shown that support once again with hundreds of thousands of messages to the campaign, and again, I am touched by your thoughtfulness and kindness.

I can never possibly express my gratitude, so let me say simply, thank you.

I am so done with CNN. Was NBC as bad too? I can't go for Fox so I don't know who to watch any more.

I guess I'll stick with Jon Stewart and Colbert. ;)

Nice email from Hillary; I am sure some supporters of Obama will still not be happy, but OH WELL

I think Hillary said what she NEEDED to say. I personally think deep down she probably doesn't believe it, but she is going to do what she has to do and say what the DNC wants her to say.

I really hope Hillary isn't on the ticket with Obama. She can do SO much better then being his VP, IMO. Not that I don't think she earned the job, of course she has. She has earned the right to be VP more so than ANYONE else. But I just think Hillary will be blamed for everything! I say Hillary can do much better for herself in the Senate or as a Governor! Then she can come back in 2012 and run for President. After 4 years of McCain, I think America will finally realize Hillary is the best choice! ;)

Although Hillary said we must come together, I will have to go against her. I have decided 100% that I can never vote for Obama.
This latest deal with Rezko and Obama playing the same game about how he didn't know Rezko was dirty is HOGWASH! ::yes::

I have no idea what I am going to do; sit it out (doesn't feel right though), vote McCain (not sure if I can) or hope for a really good Independent party ticket (crossing fingers)
Does anyone know when the Independent party announce their candidates?

There are supporters on both sides that support their candidate simply because they feel some kind of kinship (they are a woman and would like a woman or they are black and would like to see a black president) or they just like them. Some also choose one candidate because they don't want the other one in power.

Unfortunately for Hillary, Obama did, or does, come off as more personable and friendly to the majority of people. Things she did and said in this contest also reinforced apprehensions people have about her. That didn't help.

It's not fair for either side to assume supporters fall into the "I just like (or hate) them" categories though, even if those supporters are not quick to debate the issues. Political discussions can be very intimidating. Both Clinton & Obama have supporters that have researched and truly believe in their candidate's stance and plans and should be respected as such.

Jack Cafferty is a JOKE...he is a mean old man that you can tell does not like woman. Even in womans blogs that he reports on he womanized them. Same for Keith Olbermann on MSNBC wihih i refuse to watch anymore.

As for FOX I like FOX and remember they have millions of more viewers than any other media and I have found them to be more balanced than any of the reporters. They have many DEM pundits on there shows and they have been very fair...the only one that has it out for Obama is Hannity...but colmes is there right next to him defending the DEMS....I have watched FOX the most. Even O"Reilly makes sure that he does not bash the Candidate unevenly....he has been trying not to do what all the others were doing. Like him better when he is not watching his step.

Well of course ..it's like when CNN has there panel after a primary ...there are 8 of them all OS and one thtat is a HS...:rotfl2:

I am so done with CNN. Was NBC as bad too? I can't go for Fox so I don't know who to watch any more.

Go to FOX they are good and they are not just REP...by far they have just as many DEMS on there show as they do REP.

I do like Lou Dobbs he is funny on CNN...he gives it to them all. But he is a Independent...so he smacks everyone down and also stands up for them when it's needed.:thumbsup2

MSNBC was pretty bad.

I saw these clips of Chris Matthews, Tim Russert and others all joling about Hillary's nagging voice. They were comparing her to a typical winey EX wife.

For all of Senator Obamas' supporters who lurk here - The main reason Senator Clinton is "suspending" her campaign instead of just ending it, is because of the delegates. These people will be able to attend the convention in Denver and cast their votes during the roll call. This a reward for the work they have done in the primary season.
What may happen, which I have seen before in past conventions, is that once Senator Obama reaches the magic number, the party starts - the roll call will finish and then ALL the states will call out that all the delegates are pledged to Senator Obama. To me it's the most magical night in American politics.

I will neve watch MSNBC again. NEVER. CNN isn't much better. Don't like Lou Dobbs either.....I don't like ANY of them. As far as I'm concerner, everyone in the media is a corrupt sellout! Olbermann is the worst, because his holier-than-thou arritude makes him also a BIG hypocrit!

I don't care for him either. He is way too arrogant.

I know they will pick apart Hillary's speech when she gives it and I don't think I want to hear it.

I am just stunned at some OS being such sore winners. All because she didn't prostrate herself at his feet Tuesday night!

It's shocking.

I did not expect prostration...
but a more specific congratulations on reaching the delegate number to become the nominee would have been appropriate IMHO
Its what is usually done.....

Funny Kerry took the whole weekend before suspending his campaign(nice how nobody seems to remember that in all the media except FOX)....no one said nothing to him and he was not half as close as Hillary was....

He did not even say congrats at all the first night....just waited 3 days....

funny how that double standard for Hillary just keeps popping up ...::yes::

I haven't had much to say the last few days. I was afraid this was going to happen...just didn't want to admit it. As I type this, I am heartsick. This is not sour grapes...it's a great disappointment.

I'm honestly not sure what I'm going to do. And please don't hit me with all the guilt. I'm VERY aware of what's at stake. I have a son that's turning 21 this month and I don't want him to get caught up in a war that I don't even believe in. I come from a family of Democrats. We go way back. I probably could have told you I was a Democrat when I was a toddler. I count myself among the people in our country who can claim to be family of a past president. But the DNC isn't what it used to be. I'm disappointed in my party, but don't know where to turn.

I'm just not sure I can get behind Obama. Once again, something is coming out that at the very least shows his complete lack of judgement, if not much worse. I'm deeply concerned about him. He has tons of baggage and a terrible memory. It all sounds very much like crooked politics, as usual. And he's selling himself as change? I don't think so. He can deliver a winning speech, but can he lead? We need a strong leader right now. I just don't see that he's it.

I can't vote for McCain. I disagree with too much that he stands for, although I don't particularly dislike the man. He even says he doesn't have a clue about the economy...and his view on the war is scary. Personally, I think he's too old. Anyone voting for him better look carefully at his VP. That person may well take office. And when he kept forgetting things on his trip to the middle east, I got really concerned. I wonder if he's even capable of the job?

For the first time in my life, this life-long Democrat may stay home and not vote unless Obama can win me over. I really hope he can. And before some OS starts in on me, don't bother. Having you preach at me isn't going to change things. Hearing Hillary say that it's what I need to do isn't going to change things. Even putting Hillary in the #2 spot won't necessarily win me over, but it wouldn't hurt.

Only Obama can do what needs to be done. He needs to show me what he's made of. I'll be watching carefully between now and November. I hope I start to see a different side of him between now and then.
