HII Waitlist

I booked HHI for 8/21-8/26 and am waitlisted for 8/19-8/20. I really need the 8/19-8/20 dates and then would cancel 8/25-8/26. What are the chances they'll be a cancellation and I'll get my waitlist request? Can't book airfare until I know for sure, and if I can't get the two earlier dates might cancel the whole trip, as I have two kids that have to get off to college on the 27th and 28th.

Have you considered adding those two nights as a cash booking with the member discount? You could still leave your waitlist open on the hope of converting the nights to points, but it would at least allow you to move forward with the rest of your planning and booking. That's how I booked our upcoming Vero Beach reservation for 4th of July week, and was lucky enough that the nights did become available to switch to points.

Actually I hadn't thought of that, thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it.

We are there at that time and have several nights on cash. We went last year at the same time but were able to get cash nights.
