We are coming down from St.Augustine on Tuesday headed to BCV. In the past we have come down 95 to 4 and just taken 4 all the way. However, it never fails, no matter what time we come we always get stuck in horrible traffic on the north side of Orlando. So... my thought was to come up with a route to miss the majority of the downtown traffic.

For those that are a bit more familiar, how does this sound?

95 to 4, then take 417 back east (appears it is exit 101a) and then take that south to 528 west bound and then back to 4 and then into Disney.

According to google maps it will take about 15 more mins, but the thought of less traffic is worth it for me. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance..

I travel SR417 from Lake Mary to Lee Vista Blvd (just north of SR528) every work day. It's a good alternative to avoid traffic on I4. SR417 & SR528 are both toll roads.

You can also take SR417 down to either exit 6 (International Drive) or exit 3 (Osceola Parkway) to get to WDW.

417 is a way better option than I4. You pay the tolls, but worth it for saving time and less traffic.
