We are returning to WDW next summer after a break of 6 years since our last visit.
We as a family have always stayed on site, but as DD will be 13 and DS will be 10 we have booked a Villa near Highway 27!
This was booked as a Thomas Cook holiday via another operator and was wondering if anyone had any info where we can look up these Villas or have pictures of what we can expect!
We reckon it's a 15-20 drive from WDW can anyone confirm?
Any help, info will be greatly appreciated!

Do you know what development you are on?

Hwy 27 is north and south of I4.

If you are north then you can go along 192 to disney - there are lots of decent eating places at rolling oaks at the hwy 27 end of 192.

If you are south then you will use I4 I think. Furthest out on hwy 27 south is southern dunes - maybe 30 mins to disney.

Originally the booking said West Ridge Villa's but now it's just Highway 27. Thomas Cook website seems to say west of Championsgate.

We were on highway 27 last year in Royal Palms. Took about 15 mins to get to WDW on the I4, much quicker than going along the 192 with all the traffic lights.

Thomas Cook's Highway 27 villas are Westridge, Hampton Lakes, Four Corners and Florida Pines :goodvibes

Thanks for the help all, very excited about it, hope the villa lives up to expectations

My friend owns on Manors North, Westridge - this is a gated community on the US27 and very nice, nearby are the other communities you mentioned so I'm guessing that's probably the area. It's roughly mid way between the I4 and 192 and a short distance from a good sized shopping area with a Publix and an Applebees restaurant. We've stayed on the 192, near championsgate and several times at Westridge ......... to be honest they're all a fair trot from Disney but all are maneagable, you also have the choice of using the 192 or the I4 depending on traffic. Have a super time!

How far away from Idrive and universal? The whole reason for the trip is 2 HP mad children. Plus the idea that we can chill by the pool in our own privacy x

I'd have said 25 - 30 minutes ..... you'd head off the 27 onto the I4 and zip up to Universal ........ For us there's no better feeling than sitting on our own patio, knowing the kids are safe and happy inside (usually on the XBOX if there is one, or in the pool) and supping a bottle of wine on a warm Florida evening away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Yes, you can get closer but its normally only 5 minutes difference and IMHO its quicker to get to Universal along the I4 than to negotiate the traffic and lights along the 192. Not sure Im supposed to post links, so sorry if I shouldnt, but this is my friends villa and should give you an idea of the area giving distances to and from the parks.

Hope it helps ..... Sharon
