Just back as had a week in the Loire afterwards (which I thoroughly recommend it's beautiful).
Stayed at the Serris apartments myself, hubby, son 13, daughter 9.
Highs
The weather! lovely and sunny with only small showers on our last day which we managed to avoid.
Characters - were literally everywhere in fact I'd say the most we've ever seen in one trip, best place to spot them is definitely to the right of IASW. New to us characters was Esmerelda and Clopin (?). - think that's his name he signed!.
Finally going to the 4 pm character meet at DLH - really recommend doing this especially when busy, we saw Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Donald, Pluto, Goofy and Perla and Suzy. Not too many people there so was great interaction.
Guided tour of Disneyland park - again really recommend. This was our 11th visit and we always try to do something different so decided to try this. Our guide was lovely, really enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Was supposed to be two hours but due to how busy and hot it was ended up being two hours twenty minutes and she still didnt do everything!. We learnt so much and it's taught us to always look up and around you, we just didn't realise how much thought and detail had gone into building the park. Highlight was backstage tour of Star Tours - very exciting.
Pin trading - our last day was a pin trading day we had no clue how it worked but the staff were really helpful and everybody really friendly. We didn't get the limited edition pin but did get free ones with a drink for attending the event - so a good start.
Lovely CM's as always , great interaction and friendly.
Despite the fact it was busy - (we've been in the summer before so we were prepared to not get on many rides) - we managed all of them no problems and the longest we waited was 45 mins so not bad at all. Think it's all about picking and choosing your times and being patient ( easier said than done I know).
My daughter finally deciding to try 'bigger' (to her!!) rides (she's always been worried!) and now POTC is her new favourite!!!!
Visiting the Haunted Mansion for the first time - we've no idea why we've never done it before we loved it - was spurred on by the tour guide telling us the story behind it!
Lows
Can't think of any really apart from the apartments not sure we'd stay there again, they were ok but need a tidy and lick of paint.
Oh and World of Disney - was ok but bit disappointed with the stock was hoping for different things.
Well that's it really, I'm sure there's lots more but it already seems a long time ago with having a break afterwards. Can't decide when to go back next, fun in the planning though!
