Highs:

- The weather was fantastic :goodvibes
- The DCR looked great in the sunshine, and had a really nice atmosphere. We had a cabin upgrade on arrival (inc. chocolate coins and bottles of water), and enjoyed a few hours in the pool one day which we almost had to ourselves.
- The DCR buffet & barbecue. A great meal, which worked out to just over 60 euros with some cheap meal vouchers I'd bought via ebay + shareholder's discount
- 20% off a meal at Restaurant des Stars using a birthday ticket. Not as good as the DCR buffet, and theming average, but quite a nice meal.
- The parks looked great, and you had a sense that everything was up and running properly compared to reports of excess restaurant closures etc., the previous month.
- CM's generally very helpful and polite. We saw one incident of 'queue jumping' (actually, someone had just opened a gate on BTM which allowed people to cut straight into the fastpass queue. The CM's spotted it very quickly, and ejected a lot of people who had taken the shortcut.
- Taking a risk on the Autopia queue! We've avoided it for years because of the lengthy queues. However, although it always suggested we'd be waiting at least 60 minutes, we rode 3 times, and didn't wait longer than half an hour. My youngest (8 years old) was so thrilled to be driving her own car
- Dreams :cloud9:

Lows:

Nothing serious....

- At the DCR I'd booked an older style 2 bed cabin, because the upgrades are soooo tight for space! However, they didn't have any left to 'downgrade' us to. Didn't really matter as we were only staying for 3 nights and the full size fridge freezer and air con is a bonus.
- Salon Mickey. 1st day, they queried the numbers (family of six), but allowed us in. It was heaving though, so we didn't stop long. Day two, just 3 of us visited, and were told at the door that "all of the treats were gone, so did we still want to come in?" lol. If they're going to do it, they should really try and do it properly.....ideally they need a slightly larger venue though!
- BTM being down for the last 2 days of our visit....wasted fast passes :(
- The Stunt Show. Just didn't find the new format as engaging, and Lightning McQueen's appearance was very weak :confused3
- My two eldest being refused their Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show birthday tickets as they weren't 18 years old. Half expected it, but on this occasion was actually hoping for one of the DLP inconsistencies :rotfl:

Welcome back, glad you enjoyed your trip. Regarding Salon Mickey the pastries have always been a when its gone its gone. Sometimes they do go and get more from the bakery. Regarding making it a bigger venue, its is only the past couple of years it has been busy on occassions as there wasn't as many shareholders.

I have been in several times during of peak and been the only person in there.

I actually prefer the Stunt show with Lightning over Herbie, however it is not as good as when they first done it. It was exactly as the film they showed.

Welcome back...
Your highs makes me very happy... The fact that everything is up running and the CMs are nice and helpful is a big plus, since I was starting to worry a bit about DLP going down hill.

Sounds like a totally fantastic trip. Pity ye didn't get away with it at BBWWS ;)
DCR sounds great, would love to brave the drive some day and stay there.

Sounds like a great trip! :) wonder if we'll be upgraded at dcr next Sunday..... Have booked a two bed also...

Think as long as there was endless supply of treats at salon mickey the small venue would be fine :) what bugged me last year was we were in with 2 cards so a big group, we always gave up seats if we had gone in when quiet and had to ourselves then others came in. Never once got a thank you or had the same courtesy in return. :(

I know what you mean....we didn't get a seat on either occasion, and it starts to feel a little weird lurking over by the toilet door :rotfl:

It's an odd environment really, with its limited space, and spooky white Walt's mask on the mantle. Lots of CM's milling about who don't appear to have much to do....and some die hard shareholders that hang onto their seats for dear life once they're in them!

Hope you get your upgrade, and have a fantastic time :goodvibes

I suppose when the shareholders club was thought of maybe they didn't envisage how many members there would be/would wish to actively use it?

I think we've only been in on one occasion when it's just been us but as we always go at busy times guess that's only to be expected.

And it's the same ones hogging the pastries - sometimes I've wondered how many pastries can one person eat?!! ;) :rotfl2:

We were there Sunday 22nd - Wednesday 25th and we managed go ride BTM on the evening of Monday 23rd. It had been running during the day but was closed late morning. I don't know the reason for the closure.

Glad you got a ride.

We had a couple of rides on the Saturday, but if broke down on Sunday, and was still down when we left on the Monday.

Shame....you could have had our 6 Fast passes :)

Welcome back, sounds like a great trip. We managed Autopia for the first time in years too - loved it :)

I actually prefer the Stunt show with Lightning over Herbie, however it is not as good as when they first done it. It was exactly as the film they showed.

I like Lightning, as he's more current, but I think overall the show was much, much better when it was originally done, as Nikki says, like the film. I liked them picking people from the audience as extras.

can i ask what you did for breakfast? i really loved the dcr breakfast :sad2: wish i knew why they stopped it!?
