OK, super quick highs and lows cause we're still travelling and will only get home tonight about 8.

HIGHS
Blue Lagoon, really exceptional this time. The food was the best in the park and that was a first for us.
Getting our Dream APS whoo hoo
Amy Winehouse tribute night in Billy Bob's, what a fantastic night.
Eating frogs legs on the Champs Elysees .
The Snow White ride, only because I haven't done this one for years and had forgotten how sweet it was.
The Fantasia bar....and glowtinis :)
Wonderful staff at NPB
And of course meeting Hal Miles

LOWS
We really didn't have any lows and have had such a wonderful holiday but if I had to be picky then
some of the missing features in POTC like the swordsmen, but we still enjoyed it
Breakfast at NPB, we never had a proper breakfast, one morning in The Captn's quarters, two in our room and one in Salon Mickey.....the queues were unreal!!!!!!!

On a seperate note cause it's not a high, the toilets were all fine :rotfl2:

Welcome back, glad to see so many highs, especially when I know you were worried about staying at NPB.

Thanks Elaine! Yes was very worried. As it was the main areas like the pool and Fisherman's wharf were exceptionally good, but the breakfasts beggared belief!!!! We never made a single one ??? However the staff were really lovely and the whole atmosphere is really good!

K

PS think we should add Fisherman's wharf to the dining thread as they do amazing bar snack/ lunch/ light dinner menus which are really good and relatively cheap for DLRP........probably find out they are on there already :rotfl2:

Welcome back, thanks for sharing :)

Welcome back! Sounds like a really fantastic trip. Makes me excited to go myself. Would love to read a trippie x

Never finished a trippie yet!!!! But you never know :] This was such a fun trip...I really should try and do it :] K

Kaye, apart from Blue Lagoon where did you eat? Did you go to Walt's, l remember that was one of your favourites?

Glad you enjoyed your trip and your stay at NPB. We loved staying there; breakfast was a dream but wonder if we got a quieter room with Admirals Floor?

Would love to see a TR!

We were on Admiral's floor but the refurb has started so the Yacht Club was completely closed, maybe that added to the chaos? If we hadn't been Admiral's floor we couldn't have ordered breakfast in our room :] The room was sooooooo lovely, we had a balcony too! It was only the breakfasts that were poor, the staff and the hotel were fantastic. K

Ah yes - had forgot only AF can get room service breakfast; we never used that option even though we had planned to. We were there in August and breakfast was very quiet and civilised; but both rooms were open and we were told to eat in a specific one (can't remember which now) so that could be why it was quieter. Such a shame it was closed for your trip - chaotic breakfast is not what you want on hol!

We loved our room too - with a balcony. I just loved everything about that hotel; part of me is actually a little worried that the service at DLH won't match up as it really was spot on at NPB in the summer; we would def stay there again!

Would love to see some photos!

The staff are really nice at NPB aren't they? We felt very fussed over especially as one of the bar tenders took a shine to Erin and rushed to serve us:rotfl2: Don't worry the DLH is brilliant and the service there is fantastic, you won't regret it at all

Mary Ellen, I didn't list it as a low because the meal we had in Walt's was good...................but it wasn't up to the standard we have come to expect. My sea bream was beautiful , but my caeser salad starter was only just acceptable. Most of the table ordered steak from rare through to very well done and everyone said it was tough and dry :worried: The service was OK, I hope they were merely having an off night? We have eaten here so many times and this is the first time I have been disappointed :confused3, hopefully it was a one off. I'm still willing to give it a go next time :rotfl2:

K

PS I had such a good time I kinda forgot to take photos, but I am busy pinching from everyone else....try and load them soon

Pleased to hear you had a great time .... it all goes way too quickly though doesn't it. Pleased there were more highs than lows, same for us too. I will try and put a list together soon.

Sounds like a brilliant holiday! We found blue lagoon amazing for our trip in June....we always found it good but this year was exceptional....even pipped Walt's my all time favourite lol

Couldn't agree more, what a surprise and a pleasant one :] K

Welcome back, sounds as if it was a great trip with some unique memories - meeting Hal Miles and having a balcony room for starters! :)
