Got back yesterday afternoon after a quick weekend away - another very enjoyable trip! The CMs we came across were very polite, wasn't too busy at all really, didn't witness any pushing or queue jumping at all (not to say there wasn't any!) and the toilets were ok (as far as toilets go really!)

Here's a few pics of the fab decorations:

HIGHS:

• Halloween decorations - after hearing that they scaled it back last year to a lot of people's disappointment, I was happy to see they had the decs back in full swing this year with the spooky ghosts, and the hub looked amazing with all the different disney pumpkins! lots of good photo points too :thumbsup2

• 30% discount with AP - all day saturday was 30% off when you spent over 50 euros with your Fantasy AP which we have, so bought sooo much stuff, mainly halloween bits - got a really cool limited edition jack skellington halloween pin that I managed to find in a shop in the studios park - the last one of so the CM told me.

• La Grange - we hadn't eaten here before but thought we would give it a try after a recommendation from our friends and we had a fab meal. Managed to get a good discount with SH, but we got in there early while the food was all fresh and it was pretty quiet. Had a very good selection of tex mex foods and other bits which we all loved and the desserts were yummy too! Think we got good value for money and we were so full by the time we left! Staff were very attentive and happy too :)

• New security (small thing really!) They have moved the entrance to Disney Village to the side so you only have to go through bag check once in the whole day and then you can come and go between both parks and the Village as you like which I think I much prefer as it seemed like a lot less queuing in between.

• World of Disney store - loving the new store as first time I'd been in there - same sorta stuff in the others really but nice to go in a shop that I haven't been in before haha

• Crush's coaster - we were in the pre-queue (where people were queuing, but not actually in the queue area!) long before 10am when it officially opens, however they started letting us all in early and we had queued up and been on the ride before 10:15 so we were chuffed with this :goodvibes

LOWS:

• Weather - it rained pretty much all saturday which was a bit of shame (looking at the weather this morning, typically it looks like it's nicer this week!) It wasn't cold though which was good, otherwise it would have been miserable. They did cancel a few performances of the halloween shows they had on which was a bit of a shame, but totally understood why. Didn't stop us having fun though and luckily we were prepared clothes-wise.

• BTM - a small tradition of ours is to ride this in the dark as we all find it so much more fun! We got a FP for it for around half 7, however as we were coming out of Phantom Manor, we saw that it had broken down with people on it right at the top of the hill (we saw them all get down safely in a very short time frame which was handled well by the looks of it), but unfortunately it meant they shut it down for the rest of the evening so we didn't get to ride this trip :(

All in all it was another successful trip which we all thoroughly enjoyed - am suffering the post-disney blues this morning but hoping to go again in the beginning of the new year :goodvibes

Brilliant pictures Sarah, despite the wet weather :goodvibes.

Glad you had a good time. Shame about not getting your ride on BTM

The Halloween decorations look wonderful :thumbsup2

Glad you had a good trip in spite of the weather. The pictures look great. I'm longing to do Halloween one day.

Love the photos, thanks for sharing. I too like eating at La Grange & have never had a bad meal there. Hope to eat there again in November:thumbsup2

Welcome back! :goodvibes

Glad you had a good trip & the Halloween decs do look amazing!!

I love, love, love the Halloween decos! Thanks so much for posting!
Sounds like you had a good time...even with the rain. :thumbsup2

Welcome back :wave2: love the Halloween decorations.

Shame about BTM but on the positive side it gives you a very valid reason to book a return trip asap! ;)

Welcome back and thanks for posting those lovely photos. It sounds as if you had a great trip despite the weather and missing BTM. Thanks for the recommendation for La Grange, we've not eaten there so will put it on our list now. Totally agree about the improvement in new security check areas. It has made a huge difference to us to be able to nip back and forth to Village and hotel. (I know there is a checkpoint between Village and hotel but the queue there is minimal at any time of day.). Overall sounds an excellent trip topped by that 30% shopping bonus - wonder if that will be a date to remember for next year?

Glad to see you had a good time inspite of the rain :goodvibes and you were right re the weather now as yesterday was sunny and 23° and today is due to get out and be 21° but it gives you an excuse to come back ;)

Nice that you got to use the AP offer on shopping, shame they only do that a couple of times a year but when it falls on your visit it's fab :cool1:

Your photos are wonderful :goodvibes

Sounds like you had a great trip :) BTM also broke down on the top when we were there in September, seems to be a regular thing! We're back in January for Johnny's birthday, so fingers crossed we get time to ride it then :)
