Highs
I was really shocked by how well Chloe handled the waiting times for rides, we waited over an hour on a few occasions and ended up waiting almost two hours to see Rapunzel but she didn’t complain once. This was the part I was dreading as I thought she would get bored and upset with waiting so long, so she really impressed me.
Hotel Santa Fe was fantastic, I feel bad now because I had read reviews on other sites that weren’t great so I had low expectations. However, we were very happy to be there, I could not fault it really.
Another thing I had a low expectation with was the food, yet this is not what we experienced. Even with the counter service food, it was much better than I thought it would be.
We had some fantastic character interaction and that made the trip even more wonderful.
The princess makeover at the Disneyland Hotel was a huge high, Chloe’s experience was magical and worth every penny!
Dreams! I got all emotional three times! Simply incredible!
I did have one thing that can go with highs and lows and that is the CMs. Some were brilliant and others were just awful which is a shame really.
Lows
I did notice queue jumping but it was only with Crush’s Coaster, it was frustrating because people were being pushed out of the way while a CM stood and watched. One time it was particularly bad and there were a few families arguing with the CM because he was just standing by and not doing anything.
I misjudged a few things which led to the first three days being a bit of a hit and miss. Chloe managed it differently to how I expecting and was exhausted for the first couple of days so my PTR went out of the window about 30 mins after arriving! I also made other mistakes, I forgot the SD card twice one day so we had to go back and I wore a maxi dress and that I ended up hurting myself in, silly things really but you learn from them. Originally I had planned to see the parades and a few shows, we didn’t in the end, a couple of times we stumbled upon them but it was too much for Chloe with the combination of rides and characters as well as the crowds and the sun so I just let her decide what things she would like to do and did those. We’re planning to go in November so now that I know how things will be for her we can plan for those.
Overall though I loved it and more importantly, so did Chloe. It was so good to see her experience it. I cannot wait until we’re next there!
