Got back a whole week ago, but Christmas, colds and children hogging the computer have got in the way!

Highs -

Eurostar. when it goes smoothly, as it did for us on this trip, it's a great way to get to DLP. Much prefer it to flying to and, particularly, from CDG, and we intend to use Eurostar again whenever possible.

Our room at the Hotel New York. We got one with the really big windows and it looked over the ice rink and the lake. Could have stayed there all day!!

All our meals were enjoyable, but particularly our last evening at Walt's. We got the private little Frontierland room (like PrincessKel), with it's own Christmas tree and a great Main Street view. I hadn't even bothered to ask if a window table was possible so it was a wonderful surprise. We finished our meal just before 10 and then stepped out on to Main Street to watch Dreams almost straight away.

Dreams. A wonderful show, of which DLP should be justly proud. We watched it twice out of our three nights there. I amazed myself by not crying though - usually I'm completely hopeless when it comes to anything like that!

Lows, or rather, Niggles -

Eurostar! Not the train journey itself, but just the boarding at Marne La Vallee station. It certainly brings you back to the real world with a bump! Loads of people approaching from at least three different directions being funnelled through two security scanners just doesn't work very well. (Though people really could help things move along faster by removing coats etc before they get to them) We were delayed by half hour while waiting for everyone to board, so nothing terrible, just a bit annoying.

Also, I just wish some people would show a bit more consideration. This obviously applies anywhere. But at DLP it tends to be things like -

- I'm sure that you are very proud of your lovely new Sorcerer Mickey hat, but perhaps you could consider removing it for just the twenty minutes you have decided to stand right in front of me on Main St to watch Dreams!?!

So those little niggles took absolutely nothing away from our holiday. It was wonderful to be there again after nearly three years, and it was a nice little escape from reality after a pretty rubbish year. Now I have got to start thinking about the next one... :scratchin ;)

Welcome back, sounds like you had a fab trip. Thanks for sharing

Welcome back and looks like it was a great trip!

I completely agree about Dreams being a wonderful show! And also about Eurostar (both about it being great, and about the boarding at Marne La Vallee)...

Was the skating rink open whilst you were there?

The ice rink was only open between 3 and 10 pm. It was raining when we arrived on the Thurs, but once it had stopped a team of people "dried" off the ice rink and it was opened a bit late from about 4pm. No problems on Friday, but it was very wet on Saturday and so they didn't open it that day at all.
