Hi

Has anyone stayed at the Highland Reserve Villas ? We are going in November & have found a deal that is too good to turn down, just wondering what they were like.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Have never stayed at Highlands Reserve but I know the homes are very nice on there.
HR is built on a golf course, is a few miles from the 192 junction, there is I believe a Publix Supermarket nearby too - hopefully someone who has stayed there can give more detailed advice.

Situated on the US27 - map below refers:

Thanks for that, it also helped to answer the question of how far from Disney it was as we was wondering if it would be a viable option to get a cab to DTD & PI a few evenings so that we could all enjoy a drink & not have to worry about the driving.

The distance to Disney is a much dicussed subject, and it can depend on traffic.
Some will tell you it takes 15 minutes or so and others anything up to 40.

I would count on approx. journeys to the parks of 25 minutes or so, remember once you arrive at the Disney area it can take slightly further to certain parks - WDW is a massive area.

Sorry don't know on taxi costs.

There are also restuarants here too.

18 of us went to Florida last November, half stayed onsite whilst the other half shared a Villa on the Highland Reserve. All I can say is WOW! They were lovely; the master suite was bigger than the whole of my upstairs in my house (three bedrooms)! They were fully equipped with everything you would expect and most importantly clean and well kept. We have decided that when we go next year we will definitely stay there. The only reason we are not doing this in August is that we had a good deal with Expedia staying onsite. It never took us long to get into Disney, about 20 minutes, never took us more than 30 minutes even with traffic. There is a great selection of shops in the area and not to mention a lovely Chinese that does take out!
Although it might not be the nearest to Disney, the Villas are stunning and there are lots of amenities in close proximately :thumbsup2

Thanks Cinderella.

We're going in November & the deal is so good we just couldn't pass it up. We was just a little nervous about the villa's as we have only ever stayed in hotels when we've visited Orlando in the past so it's going to be a different experience for us all. I can't wait !!:cheer2:

Hi i reckon a taxi will cost about $20 one way from Highlands to DTD

we use Skips taxis i will get you the number is you want. ;)

The easiest route for you would be down the I4, joining at Champions Gate It shouldn't be too busy at the beginning of November.

Hi

If you have the number that would be great, it would save us from trying to find a reputable taxi company while there.

Thanks :thumbsup2
