What bank is everyone using for a HYSA? I was with ING and I miss them so so so much. I'm not a huge fan of Capital One. Any other suggestions? I looked at CIT Bank thoughts? SoFi? OR is there another bank that has high interest rates and is easy to deal with?

Certainly miss ING as well. Ally has been pretty good but not the highest rates currently 3.40%

I like the Apple savings account if you have an Apple Card. Currently at 3.65%

CIT has good customer service BUT be aware if you start a CD they will send you an email only when it is up. You will need to call or send a message through their system of what you want to do. The waits at CIT to call are sometomes long but easy to deal with when they answer. Barclays is easy but has OK customer service they will have an option to renew CD online without calling. Synchrony bank IF you can get into their platinum service has amazing customer service also can renew CD online they also have a lot of discounts in that tier including Disney park tickets, The lower tier service is not so good. Synchrony has great CD rates that renew at great CD rates. Sallie Mae is a pain to deal with in some ways but decent rates. Ally bank has been easy as well decent customer service. There are many more out there as well some better then other. Be aware you need to log onto these accounts once in a while some stricter than others for the most part it is best to just have at least a small amount transferred every month to the account so it is not placed as inactive. Some are better than others with this with Sallie Mae being the worst wanting a deposit or withdrawal at least once a year and Barclays needing to verify your identity every year some will just sit on their own with just logging in.

Have been using Forbright for last 17 mos. Rate has been dropping a little, like most, each time the Fed reserve has met lately, but still at 4% for a day-in day-out savings with no commitment like a CD.

We always defaulted to Discover for competitive rates and ease of use...have not seen any changes yet but now that Capital One has bought, who knows...

CIT has been fine for me, I have no issues with transfers in or out, always done quickly. I have used them for wire transfers multiple times and it's free which saved me a fair amount money in wire fees, their rate is above others.

I would find a bank that offers a deposit bonus up front though. I just got a $1500 bonus from Capital One. Discover usually has bonuses, smaller ones, but they also tend to offer bonuses after account opening as well. For example right now I have an offer to deposit 40k for a $250 bonus into my existing Discover account. So I will move money over there and then likely move it back to one of my HYSA with higher rates once the bonus hold time has been met.

If you are an AARP member, you can get 4.40% at Barclays currently. I set this up last month and was fairly painless - plus they are offering a $200 bonus if you deposit $25k.
Oh!! Thank you! Not an AARP member yet, but I’ll look into this. I don’t think they have an age requirement, right? I’m not quite there yet in years.
