Oh how scary and sad that there is such angst out there that people can't figure out any other solution than to kill and to be killed. The violence of it all is so frightening.

Yeah, here in Minnesota these things just don't happen.

Of course some people think this may have something to do with the legalization of bringing a concealed weapon into any place that does not have a poster in a prime location specifically stating it's forbidden.

It's a sad day when you walk into the Disney Store in a strip mall and right there it says

IN ACCORDINANCE WITH MINNESOTA LAW, NO GUNS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PREMESIS.

I'm in Minnesota too, and I know what you mean, it just doesn't seem like the place this stuff would be happening.

That's not really a big town either so......well, I don't know what my point is there, but it's sad.

Our local McDonalds now has a sign posted that they do not allow weapons in the restaurant.

The sign making companies are making a killing on the newer gun laws...(bad pun intended.)

I didn't even hear about this! I hate that law - I'm not saying this incident is due to that law, but I hate it nonetheless.

I used to run track against rocori-cold spring (always loved their colors!!), and so it does feel close, you know?

OT - But I didn't realize HMG was from MN!! Hi!!

It's terrible. I don't agree with the whole concealed gun law either, but I don't think that had any bearing here. I guess the shooter was a freshman...not even old enough to get a gun license, much less a conceal and carry permit.

I too didn't realize that HMG was from MN. Cool! More MN people!

The new law being responsible for those signs in churches and doctor's offices are disheartening too!
