High School Seniors! How's it going?

I'm more of a reader than a poster on the DIS, but I decided to see how fellow seniors of '08 are coping with graduation (now that it's finally HERE!!!).

When are you graduating?

Are you happy to be graduating, or will you miss high school a lot?

I'm graduating on May 30th, and I couldn't be HAPPIER to leave high school! LOL. I mean, sure, I guess it'll be weird not being around the same people I've been with for 12 years, but I'm ready for change!

Also, do any of you have senior activities before graduation? We have our 'senior week' next week which is comprised of rehearsals (everyday), and our senior banquet, senior awards, and baccalaureate.

Our grad banquet is in October, and the only "senior activity" is prom which is at the end of June

I'm graduating June 17...and I cannot wait. I'll probably miss high school once I'm at college, but now, I can't wait to get out and away from the petty drama.

Right now, it's a joke to go to school.My teachers have pretty much given up with teaching us anything. It's pretty awesome. I go to school and talk with friends all day.

Yeah, they let us seniors out a week before graduation because they know we won't do anything, .

I can't wait to get to college now that high school is over!!!!!!!

Anybody speaking at their graduation? I have to read a speech , and I HATE public speaking!

It's going well. Yesterday was our senior cut day which was a lot of fun. I think we have 13 days of classes left. I graduate June 26th. We have prom...senior pranks and all that fun stuff coming up.

well i'm not graduating til 2010 but my cousin and a whole bunch of my friends are this year, they only have 4 days left, and they all have what you call "senoritis" where you don't want to do any of your work, and you start to slack off lol one of my guy friends had his last track meet for our school on tuesday, and when he got on the bus after ir was all over, he and a couple of his friends started balling their eyes out. He was so depressed, so he called me up, and we talked for a good 2 hours. Gosh when the seniors leave I think I'm gonna cry too lol i'm pretty close to alot of them because of my cousin.

May 18. . .so I'm already done !!!!!!!! We have a huge party the night of graduation. . .Project graduation . Every Senior in our class gets together back in the school and from 11 pm till 6 am we play games, have raffles, and just hang out and pig out! this year we had 4 huge inflatable things (a slide, an obstacle course, a bungee run, and the giant q-tip things that u hit ppl with) then we had laser tag, deal or no deal, fear factor, and rockband, guitar hero, halo, and 2 wii's ! At the end of the party everyone gets a prize that has a corresponding # to the ticket you got when u came in, u get entered in the grand prize ($500 or a laptop) u get $100 cash, a $50 gift card 4 wal mart, a t-shirt designed by our class, and an envelope full of coupons and gift cards. I got a sleeping bag and a TGI Fridays gift card (ironically so did my bf) . At the end we let balloons with our names on them go outside of the school. . .4 have been found (mine included) and it's so cool bc they call the school! We also have a "senior skip day" and many little "senior pranks" this year we had a campout in front of the school ( I was in the hospital the night b4 so my mom and bf didn't let me go = ( ) On our last day of school we all dresses in "summer attire". B4 grad we also all decorate our cars and then after grad we all throw our hats, shoot streamers, blow airhorns, the whole 9 yards! It's GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really only have 5 more regular class days.
We're going to Disneyland on Thursday for Grad Nite, our last big thing as class of 08, I'll turn 18 that day too. I'm not sure I'm ready to be a legal adult, but I don't really have any choice do I? Haha.

I am happy that I'll finally have a chance to leave the small town I live in, but the world is a big scary place. LOL. I'm mostly happy that now I can study what I want to and start learning to be on my own.

Tonight we have our senior banquet, which should be nice... I hope, lol.
