High school marching band: where could they be marching?

I searched, but did not find any clear answer. My grandson’s marching band is performing at Disney World this fall. Their schedule calls for them to march (itinerary wording) on either their Hollywood Studios day or their Epcot day. So, could they still be they marching at MK, or could they be marching elsewhere? and if elsewhere, where? They are a 250-person band if that makes a difference.

I think that's a mistake in the itinerary.

Before Covid, marching bands did march in Epcot, although it was more common in Magic Kingdom. But since reopening, the only location they are marching is Magic Kingdom.

It could be that there are plans to bring marching bands back to other parks, but I work for a company that creates trips for high school music groups, and we have heard nothing. Also, with the ongoing construction at Epcot, I don't see them bringing it back there for years, if ever. And there just isn't room or facilities for bands to march at HS.

The director will receive confirmation a few months before the trip. Either their park schedule or the performance day will change from the initial itinerary you have seen.

If their march is in the morning, it is possible that they are headed to a different park afterwards. My daughters band marched MK at around 10am and because they wanted a full day at MK, they bused to AK after their march. Then back to MK for a full day the next morning just to enjoy the park.
That might explain why the itinerary has them in a different park.
But I've not heard of bands anywhere other than MK for many years.

Could be around World Showcase (thought I doubt it because of Food and Wine) and from Frontierland down Main Street and back.
That’s what I did when my band went.

It sounded like their march would be afternoon. Interesting about World Showcase, but I agree that the food and wine booths would be problematic.

I agree with all of this. They'll be marching at MK. It's really the only park that makes sense, the only current one, and the least disruptive because they march around the same time as regular parades.

I also agree that there could be a mistake in the itinerary. My niece recently traveled with her marching band and quite a bit of their itinerary was incorrect or outdated as if had been cut and pasted from a past trip.

When we have seen Bands march at World Showcase, they entered at the Backstage gate between United Kingdom and World Showplace and exited at the Backstage gate between Imagination and The Land.

Yep, but that has not been an option since Covid reopening. The last time I had a group do that was 2017.

Disney Imagination Campus (formerly Disney Performing Arts) has no current parade option for Epcot. Only Magic Kingdom.
Makes sense with the festivals. Even when I went with my band (it was before the festivals were longer) people would NOT MOVE! Not only is there a CM at either end with two giant airport like lightsabers to guide people out of the way but there are a hundred kids with instruments and no one moved. Like why do you just stand there when 100 humans are coming your way it makes no sense.

Before you said the March was in the afternoon I was going to ask if it was possible they would be there in early November playing on course at wine & dine though that’s mostly local bands

No, October. My daughter is trying to see if band director has any better info.
