Does your High School offer a graduation plan?
Are you doing/did the 4 year plan or the 3 year plan?
What are your opinion's on this?

Last week, my school held an assembly to start thinking about classes for next year. One of the option's for us is we can either take the 4 year plan and graduate with 24 credits or I can do the 3 year plan for College preparatory dipolma with 18 credits. So I can do that and get out of school quicker or stay for the full 4 years.

I'm still not sure as to which I want to do.

Discuss.

Are you one of those kids that just wants to finish school,or would you rather stay with your friends until school has finished. If it was my decision I would stay three years and then go to college if that was what I planned.

See that's what I'm stuck on. Senior Year has a lot of great things but I think I'd much rather start college earlier and have a head-start on life.

Thanks for your replies. :)

My school has no 3-year option. We are in for four years. They plan the courses so that there are 2 classes we have to take our senior year- a 4th year of english and economics.

You can, however, achieve different levels of diplomas. You can get the "life skills diploma" and graduate with 75 credits, the "general" diploma and graduate with 80 credits, or the "advanced" diploma and graduate with 90+ credits.

I'd stay 4 years regardless. I intend to make the most of the last years of my "free" education. I have filled my schedule as much as possible thesepast 3 years and I intend to fill it next year.

Also, at my school you can't play any varsity sports if you have less than 3 hours of class time per day per semester.

My school offers a bunch of neat classes, too.

I would just stay and take all four years of high school. I am approaching my senior year as well and it will be your last year of high school, and your last step before you enter the "real world".

You may be able to get to college quicker but that just means you will working for the rest of your life sooner.

Enjoy high school, you only get four years.

I would take 4 if i had a choice. Collages look at 4 years more then they do 3...regardless if your school lets you graduate with 3...still collages look for kids who graduated with high grades and the most credits...

Or according to my counsler who is helping me plan my last 2 years of high school.

Stay for four years! It goes by WAY too quickly the way it is anyway.

Thanks for all of your replies!
I decided to go with the 4 year plan. :)
