Heading to Disney in a few days. Just wondering if anyone has any good tips on how to score big while playing Toy Story Mania. Any secret bonus targets (like in Space Ranger Spin)? Anyone have good strategies? All help is greatly appreciated. I need to beat my son at this so that he learns who the alpha male in our family truly is.

This is hillarious and I'm subscribing so I can be the alpha female when my daughter and I go in November. Come on now, give it up for some great tips and hints. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure how I did it but I had over 400k the last time DH & I rode TSM. But since I couldn't get the camera out fast enough to take a picture of it he swears that it didn't happen. :lmao:

Here's my highest score ever on Space Ranger Spin...

Our vehicle paused in the Zurg room and I went to town on the bonus target around the base of Zurg. With each 100,000 point bonus target hit, I could feel a piece of my son's childhood innocence being torn from him, piece by piece. At the end of the ride, my son was visibly rattled by the fact that his old man had crushed him on a video game type ride. Of course a struggle broke out as I went for the camera to forever document my amazing achievement. I had mere moments to get the picture as my son recovered from me clotheslining him. As we walked out into the bright sunshine of Tomorrowland I looked at my son and realized that a piece of him had forever been left behind in Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. That light in his eyes... that feeling that anything is achievable... it was no longer there. He was a defeated child. And in that moment, I truly understood that feeling of magic that one can only feel while at Disney World.

So my wish is to once again crush his hopes and dreams at the most magical place on Earth.

:worship: Love it! I'd much rather ride with DH than the boys so that I can try to beat the snot out of him. DS has gotten beat by me before because it is no holds barred during those rides but he tells me that it pushes him harder... and then he asks to ride with his younger brother.

I've yet to figure out the secret targets to hit on TSM for the big scores. My top scores are all around 150-190K. I see others topping 250K and occassionally 400K. I have no idea what they are hitting to get scores like that.

I hit plenty of 1,2 and 5K targets but thats about all I know to do!

My 22 yr old DD and I have been gunning for each other since out last ride in February. Our 3 men didn't stand a chance against us...BUT she beat me by the most piddly amounts both times and it BUGS. I want redemption! I'm using these tips to bring it...cause it's all about momma this time little girl! LOL!

We've gotten 999,999 on Buzz! The last trip we went in our own cars since I was holding my grandson (sleeping) I scored 999,999 on the first gun and almost that on the second! We were stuck in front of the mountain for a time and that's how I built up such a high score twice even with a child on my lap!!

DD and I did that this November. We were stuck in there FOREVER. People finally stopped shooting and just sat and talked with each other because everyone had maxed out their scores!

There was a huge uproar when the ride started back up again because the scores all reset!! (which means DD and I had no proof to send the boys back home!)

Yes, we have racked up the 999,999 even without stopping but much harder! you just have to know the high point items! Actually the time we were stopped, my husband who is retired police and loves the ride, neglected to use his second gun! He didn't think of it for whatever reason. I racked up both guns in my car!

But...

these are not all valid anymore...

I noticed some changes - maybe due to refurb??? Or maybe they happened when they inserted TSIII folks?

Either way...now they have a volcano in one of the sections and you have to shoot all 3 of the 500 point balloons in quick succession and then the volcano shoots out a bunch of balloons worth about 500 points each.

I am not sure what else has changed - I just know that at least that much changed.

Oh. My. Gosh.

Absolute best laugh of the day. Thank you for that! :lmao:

I would love to beat my DH, he always thinks he can beat me at everything. For once I would love to wipe that smug smile off his face, so keep the tips coming!!

God it's GREAT to be a parent sometimes! :rotfl2:

I'm not sure how the recent changes have effected the "secret" strategies, but DH and I studied up on my smart phone while in line last year. (I googled TSM tips, easter eggs)

Many of the tips for the really high scores involved working as a team to clear a particular set of targets which then unlocked higher value targets.

Not sure if any of the tip sites have been updated for the recent additions, but I've gotta start studying up for this November! :teacher:

I've seen some of those "teaming up" strategies also. But I want all the glory for myself.
