Sounds like you have a TA who did the things that are easiest for you to do yourself (e.g., booking PAT, excursions, adult dining) but left the stuff that takes more time and should be their expertise for you to do yourself. Once this trip is over, I suggest you find another TA.
I have my TA book cruise and hotel(s), non-DCL excursions (usually post or pre cruise as well as make recommendations or point me to a site that can help me make decisions about what to do), transfers, tickets, WDW tours, sometimes flights (although we often do those ourselves because of using points), trip insurance, and makes room requests including suggestions of what to request if we don't already have something in mind. My expectation is that she reminds us to make final payments (usually she charges DH's card on a particular day already pre-arranged), looks for any deals that may come up or availability if we want to upgrade our stateroom, and lets us know of anything else she thinks we need to know. I book PAT, excursions, and adult dining on for the cruise and ADRs at WDW. For other non-DCL/WDW trips, she does most of the booking other than possibly flights. I don't consider that high maintenance. I consider that to be why I use her and her expertise. That is, in fact, why we use her. She takes all the tedious part out of the planning off my hands, gives me the benefit of her knowledge, experience and expertise and I get to do the easy and fun parts and she's available during the trip if something happens.
